Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Every time we get a new stadium thread an angel gets its wings

I forgot which thread I read this in - but in case others missed it - I thought it was pretty cool that in the Desktop Stadium App - Knobs vs. Sliders is now a user-selected option!!

Helix Stadium Interface - have it your way!

Is it possible to get the mic choices in the cab block as a list? At the moment, it's a knob that controls a slider for something that is begging to be a list. Would be awesome if the screen can show the mics as a list and you just pick the one you want like that - scrolling through makes it really easy to go past the one you wanted, and the sudden drastic changes in mic tones aren't really helpful.

Knobs in the editing app are looking good - I never really minded the sliders too much (except for things like I mentioned above) so I was a bit surprised at how much I liked how it looks. Kudus to L6 for adding it.

Basically, moral of the story:

a) If Stadium (or insert other: Fractal, NDSP), sounds warmer - then, Helix is harsh and contains digital artifacts
b) If Stadium is brighter - then, Helix is too dull and doesn't sound as 3D, clear or dynamic in comparison

People are full of it (me included).

But the high-gain models do sound a little dry and fizzy on Stadium. Conversely, the FX all sound better

Same. I've been gigging an HX device for since 2018, and have never had to think about such a thing, and my Stomp XL will sometimes boot up and not pass any signal, but, that is at least a half hour before show time, and a power cycle takes care of that.

Also, @Sascha Franck , in regards to patch switching, definitely a great question, but I think we should make the distinction between presets and snapshots, unless you JUST mean presets?
Yeah I’ve never had a piece of digital gear die on me in 20+ years of gigging but I’m not opposed to having a faster boot time. I was curious what was driving the focus on it. Seems reasonable.
