Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

I can understand waiting, although I dumped my AM4 as it wasn't right for me.
I'm curious why the AM4 didn't fit your needs. I just ask because one might say the Stadium doesn't either given your list (not that your review isn't fact based because imo it is).

The AM4 is a great simple device. The glaring flaw for me was design related. The SPDIF out not including the loop doesn't meet my needs. I also prefer the free range block/connection placement of the ax3/fm9/fm3 design. I have the fm9 so I don't need the am4. I just wanted to try it.

I have a few presets in the Stadium that I prefer to my equivalents in the fm9. The Stadium stays for now but if issues don't get rectified, I may change my tune. Being totally honest, if the bugs/crashes didn't exist in the Stadium, my fm9 would be up for sale.

That's a pretty strong statement on what you like about it. I am sure bugs will get squished, but that always takes longer than those of us on the outside think it should.

I've set my SXL aside for now due to the bugs. With the boot time it has, having to reboot it quite often to restore a connection to my computer got to be too annoying. I am excited for Proxy to come out and fill in some of the amp gaps I see on it right now, so def not selling it, but back to the QC for a while.

I do have confidence that they'll get the bugginess sorted, but mildly annoyed it came out in this state. I don't recall the OG Helix being this insect-laden at its debut.

Bugs aside...
As mentioned in my 'feature requests' there are a few things that I would like to see with regards to the UI like IR sort, better metering, better parameter groupings, but IMO the user interface is unparalleled by any other device. It makes me want to use the device over others.

Similar situation - letting Stadium simmer a bit until it cooks a bit more. Not mad, not even disappointed, just excited to see how it evolves.
