Line 6 Helix Stadium Talk

Orange 2x12 w/V30s and a 57 dumped the JT Industries IR immediately. I hope I can find some more cabs that strike me to the same degree?

Where is timbuk, anyway? I kind of fell off this thread for a little bit, and I'm not sure I didn't skip a few pages catching up. He should have gotten his Stadium by now. Any indication he actually did? Or has it already gone back to the North Pole (because it should have cost $50)?
He is going to wait for the floor in Jan/ Feb was last i heard

I tried the C90 iirc? I tried the 1960cab with t75s(?) beyond that. I think I got some ok results with it?

At this point; there are certain things that send me into severe 'timbuk was right" fits. With no rhyme or reason, admittedly? While other things that should trigger the same way do not. It's generally a ME thing.

I have the 1.0 Cali Rectifier and OG 5150 that are probably my favorite amps for the most part. Then I also love the Superbass and the EVH Red channel, which are brand new generally speaking. I have this weird fluctuation where I don't want to use a lot of the 1.0 level stuff because I feel like where we are; we should be using all bright and shiny. Most of the cabinets give me this vibe, mentally. Whether that's wrong or right. On the complete other end of the spectrum; the Orange cab dumped the JT IR so that was a big feat in and of itself.

I don't where I was going with this other than I'm ready for that next FW dump :rofl

If it helps, the 4x12 Cartographer cab - the one with both the Eminence Governor and C90 speakers - is the brightest and shiniest (read: newest) cab in the factory collection.

I still think it defaults with condenser mics, which is unfortunate, but once you switch to a 57 or 421....all is right with the world.

But yeah, I'm ready for 1.2 with the Silver Jubilee and IIC+, and my prediction is that it drops in 7 days.

I kept focusing on the C90 side because of my C90s and didn't quite gel with it. I'll give the Governor a go.

I really appreciate you following up with this feedback. You nailed exactly what I was wondering about. I’ll for sure drag out the wedge this weekend and crank it up.

I love my guitar cabs but one of my favorite modern conveniences is showing up to a gig with a rig in a backpack. Every sound guy I’ve worked with has also loved it. Anything that makes that experience better for the guitarist is IMO a solid step forward.
Yeah - I love that little ASC-10. I heard the ASC-12 was a little bassy/woofy, but I never tried it because the 10" size was really what I needed. And it gets plenty loud for me. I'll take that to big jam sessions. (I don't gig).

I also have a little QSC 8" monitor that I'll take this little thing when I'm just jamming with a buddy or my uncles, etc. It's super compact but sounds awesome. I need to crank it up too - i haven't really put it through it's paces yet.

Canceled his Xl pre-order. :pickle

All Tims are schmos, but not all schmos are Tims?
Nah, I know some great Tims. :D

I've hit the point where the word "Tim" is losing meaning in my brain from repeating too much 😂
That's because we're stalking him. ;)

Fun facts: co-worker immediately to my left is named Tim; co-worker immediately to my right is Australian, which is how I know about TimTams. :D
