I mean, no one cares about bass tone (just give the simpleton a SansAmp Bass Driver, and hope he doesn't get drool on it), but that does sound great.

As a guitar player that also loves playing bass, does bass tone even really matter that much that different models of bass amps are needed? I love the sound of DI bass with a little compression. Add pretty much any flavor of grit when necessary.

There was a pharmaceutical remedy for that issue which worked well for me. I remain hopeful they’ll come up with something similar for the other malady.
