Hitting the edit button a bunch of times to get to the effect near the end of your signal chain in 2025 is ludicrous. Have fun when you go past it and have to loop back around to the start and do it again, which I do about 25% of the time, along with an expletive.

In 1995 maybe, but these days the entire UI should live on an iPad and connect seamlessly over wireless/BT. An Android tablet option would be nice as well.

VP4 is already way easier to use than any of their other products so I think they’re on the right track and realize they need to step up.

It’s “way easier” because it’s not near as complex as their other devices. Can’t really say they are on the right track. It’s still not great by any means

Yeah, when I picked up my LT second hand I had to go in the loft to find an old usb cable with that weird pilgrim house shape to it.

For some people, there can "be only one" because these aren't cheap devices. That doesn't mean there needs to be territorial pissing though.

Exactly.
Once upon a time I had a kemper, AX3, QC, H90 and a Helix simulaneously.
Decisions, decisions...then I realized I had to eat. I started with the QC power supply but it tasted as bad as it worked.

According to DI, there will not be a mobile editor at launch, just a desktop editor that connects via wi-fi.

For the AxeFX 3, yes I need the computer but only because of the onboard UI (sorry but I'm in the "it sux" camp). FM3 was the same when I had it. For Kemper and Helix I can do most changes just fine on the rack units.
