Jeez, this again? Stagescape M20d's Smart FX was pretty much the exact same thing. This time we simply chose to show an image of the selected model instead of a big, boring empty field:

There are obviously other screens to look at. IMHO, the signal flow view is the lamest, least helpful, most engineer-brain-centric view in any multieffect. It should only be used when organizing your blocks while first making presets. That might be why I like using HX Effects so much—the signal flow view is hidden in a menu and 90% of the UX is just 1) touch a switch to select, 2) turn knobs.
Once Stadium is shipping, y'all can suggest alternatives for what you want to appear in the Focus view field.
Yeah I like them too.I couldn't agree more. I think DI is understating the importance of the classic grid view. Especially for folks that are running multiple signal paths for multiple instruments, and those making a lot of changes while they work.
That said, I happen to really like the big pictures of amps/effects in Focus view. Helps to convey the spirit of the device(s) in use at a glance. As long as nothing else is compromised (e.g. the utility and flexibility of the grid view), why not?
I dig Paul Hindmarsh but he is starting to love that coil split as much as Hammet like his DunlopThis coming weekend is Guitar Summit in Germany, and DI will be there doing some sort of Stadium presentation. Think he said people may get to play it at the show too, so that's pretty damn cool.
Looking forward to stuff like that more than another Paul Hindmarsh micro tour or sample at this point.
Might be a good time to unveil a release date one could wager....Also Sweetwater has gear fest next week so I bet Igor or Ben and Sam might be there
I live in Germany, but I would still have to drive 400 km to Mannheim and 400 km back home. And I hate driving, especially on the German autobahn. Nevertheless, I am seriously considering making the trip on Saturday.huh.... maybe I should take a trip to Germany this weekend?!
I would honestly say there are far better ways to spend a Saturday then driving 800km to see a digital modeller, no matter how good it looks (and it does look good). Go get shit faced instead.I live in Germany, but I would still have to drive 400 km to Mannheim and 400 km back home. And I hate driving, especially on the German autobahn. I just checked the Deutsche Bahn website - the ICE (the train, not what you Americans mean by that) needs 4 hours from Bielefeld to Mannheim. Hmm...There's going to be a lot more to see than just a modeller though. Road trip and staying overnight would be fun IMO.
Unfortunately my wife suffers from Long COVID, so I'd travel alone.Zoltan's to his wife this weekend: "We're going on a road trip! You're going to love it!"
Zoltan's wife after she traverses 976km of the autobahn and finally sits down in front a Stadium:

Ok, as long as they promise to still get shit faced I suppose I can allow it.There's going to be a lot more to see than just a modeller though. Road trip and staying overnight would be fun IMO.
I enjoy when the Mrs. comes along on a gear journey as she is always a good sport. I do also once in awhile like to see how long I can drive without stopping for a bathroom break to pick up a new ampThat's not too bad with some tunes and a book. Any friends that can go with you or are you on your own?
