Line 6 Helix Stadium Pre-Launch Discussion

I imagine Showcase is going to see more use in practice/ rehearsal situations than in live performances. E.g. drummer can't make it? Hello, Showcase.

I believe that fun at home and basic practice will be the main usage of showcase but I also expect that it will be used a lot live for small things like playing intros, other prerecorded sounds and occasional backing tracks.

And after all, for any band that has at least the drummer playing on a click track, showcase will make using few backing tracks here and there quite simple & straightforward.

And then there are all the solo artists.

Yes, and the integration with the not yet discussed looper functionality could really expand what a solo artist could do, probably beyond what my aging brain can even imagine at the moment.

I'm looking forward to having some subset of what Camelot Pro brings to the table, but always on hand and (almost certainly) MUCH easier to use. (Camelot is incredibly versatile but routing is not exactly intuitive. And file management on iOS is a notorious pain in the ass.)

So are you saying I am allowed to send a PM with the meme I posted and deleted earlier to every single user on this forum? 😍

@Digital Igloo I know it's an older product, but are there plans to have the DT50 amp linked with the Stadium like the OG Helix? I saw it mentioned that Powercab will have this but have not seen anything about the DT50.
It's all about prioritization. At this point, I'd guess fewer than 20 people worldwide currently control DT amps with Helix/Rack/LT, and the assumption is that not all of them will update to Stadium, so the amount of work needed to define, implement, test, iterate, and nail DT support for the benefit of a population likely in the single digits isn't a non-starter by itself, but compared to all the other things that could benefit tens or hundreds of thousands of current and future users, it ends up being a pretty big ask, I'm afraid.:(

Not saying no, but if it doesn't happen, there may eventually be another path forward.

Thanks. I figured that was the case. It's a shame the DT wasn't more popular... mine sounds great.

Now this is a very interesting aspect.

Right now, my Kemper looper is useless to me since it is limited (compared to real loopers) and lacks quantization (I can only get a perfect 1st loop 1 out of 3 attempts in general).

A good looper combined with a playback library would be the perfect solo/duo tool!
