Limp Bizkit's Sam Rivers dead at 48

Crazy shit.

I know the dude had a liver transplant a while back that turned out ok, but was due to a drinking issue. While it doesn’t really matter how he died, it’d be a bummer if dude got a second chance at life and wasn’t able to utilize it.

He looked great in Nashville and played flawlessly from all I could see. I am glad we saw them with the original lineup. I have no idea what they will do now as they are already very sparse with their activity. Much moreso than I would expect a huge band like them to be? It would be TOUGH to carry on without someone so integral. They tried that without Wes and it did not go well :(

Just saw where they called in a cardiac arrest while he was under medical care :( Wayyyyyy too young to go. I also read that LB are still doing South American tour this winter. I wonder who they'll get to play bass? I saw a clip of them here a while back with some other rando guy on bass. Can't remember who but I can't imagine it'd be a speck on Sam?

Yep, confirmed by the promoter running their Mexico shows:

I think they had a replacement lined up, for whatever reason - Limp Bizkit has played many shows with tour bassists in the past. It's a bit crass IMHO, but i guess the show must go on...

I see both sides. I am not going to judge them especially given they don't seem to be near as active as you'd think they'd be? I saw Sam wearing a number of different F Cancer shirts so I wonder if that was part of things? Sucks either way.
