Let's see the tiny low wattage tube amps you love

Not the sexiest amp…but it serves me really well: fendersuperchamp x2.
I had it modded with a poweramp input, and replaced the speaker with a C alnico gold.
It’s used a “powered speaker”, QC running captures of the preamp of my fav amp (supersonic), 9/10 as one side of a stereo setup. 1/10 standalone on small gigs. Love this little bugger!

I used play pedals into the clean channel…worked great for small gigs actually. It’s pre is all digital, dated offcourse, but cause of its tube power I’d take it over any of the katanas/catalysts of this world.

If you fancy one…in my area (eu), they seem to not even sell at asking prices of 250,-…so you can get them cheap. Recommended!
Stock speaker is soso at home..but worked great in a live mix.

I think having played a T-verb asmy main amp from 94 for over a decade grand fathered me in already.
I remember when they first came out.

I played one of the combos in a small glass enclosed room at Manny's shortly after they got it in stock.

I really liked it, even more than the Dual Rectifier they had with a 4x12.

Unfortunately the combo was heavy as hell and having dragged an Ampeg VT22 combo up and down the stairs of the NYC subway system I wasn't eager to buy another really heavy combo.

But the amp was fantastic. One of the few in my lifetime that I really wish I'd bought and kept.

Years later I was seeing Rollins Band at Irving Plaza* and Vernon Reid sat in for one tune. I noticed that he was playing through a Trem-O-Verb combo.

*...with Melvin Gibbs on bass and Chris Haskett on guitar...what an incredible set that was!

well.. mines kinda tiny? its ten watts of single ended el34, so its kinda like a champ, except its got a gain circuit and power scaling.. so i can run it at waaaay less than a watt and still play the rokk, which is kinda why i got it.. i got a lotta windows in my practice room.

and its orange. so theres that too. :D

I have a ‘68 Fender Champ that is pretty dang sweet for pedals. I put an 8ohm 10in CB in it to lower output a tad more and keep the tone in the same neighborhood as my other cabs (mix of CB-65’s and EVH-GB’s). The latter is pretty useful for not having to adjust pedals and modelers much.

I’ve always wanted to try one of these though, a 1w Wang. “Who wanna some Wang?”
