NAD: Supro 1648RT Saturn Reverb

Leaving my review here for anyone else who finds themselves here after searching for info on this cool amp. I just bought a Supro Saturn Reverb 1648RT, the one with the 6793 power tubes. The amp really sounds great and goes from mellow spacey and lush, to raunchy rock and roll. The tone controls are very interactive and you have to turn the bass down as the volume goes up. It also get brighter as you increase the volume and can sound a little muffled at lower volumes but crank it up and it comes alive! The stock DK12 speaker sounds ok but it has a high mid spike that I don’t care for. After trying several speakers I settled on a Jensen N12K Neo that I had around and it sounds really good and fits the sound of this amp well. I also tried the Neo Creamback from my Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb and it sounded nice and smooth with that nice crunchy Creamback tone. Overall I am very happy with the amp and it is a great addition to my amp arsenal. -Slamo

I bought a second Supra Delta King 12 combo this week to use together wet & dry.
I’m really impressed by these combos and starting to get GAS .
