I had a terrible experience with KSR about a year ago. Ordered an Artemis and paid it in full, was told 6 weeks until it was ready by the main guy there. 6 weeks turned into 14 months but I ended up just transferring the order to someone else and getting my money back.

If the amp is in stock I'm sure they are great but I'd be hesitant to do any backorder things

Hmm that’s odd I had amazing dealings with Kyle when I ordered my Gemini

I know Artemis is their most extensive build , my guess is they ran into supplier issues thanks to Covid , I know they were stuck without transformers for a good 6 months
But Kyle the main guy is about as helpful as they come he is always troubleshooting and trying to help people out , I know he gets slammed with emails and probably misses some but I honestly believe if he told you 6 weeks , he thought it was going to be six weeks

Sure, he was super professional and nice. However, 6 weeks to over a year is a huge difference. I didn't place this in 2020 and then COVID hit or something like that.

I would have rather he just said he doesn't have an estimate. I was more willing to put a full deposit down and place an order because of the quoted lead time.

Just felt misleading to me if I'm being honest

Yeah sorry to hear that is unfortunate for sure
I can totally see how that would be frustrating if you were given six weeks completion and that changed to a year

I agree they should not have given the timeline unless the were sure they could deliver or maybe just take a smaller deposit and let you know it’s May be a while

The amp slays. Probably some of the best built-in tones an any KSR I’ve tried/owned.

The crunch channel alone is killer and for $1799 there’s literally nothing on the market that offers as much I don’t think.

Interested to hear better demos of this. Phone audio is always iffy.

Good feature set, size, weight and price.

I wish Kyle would do a Syn module or a stand alone pre amp (SS pedals do not count, sorry Ceres); I don’t have enough room for any more heads, even compact ones. LOL.
