I have less than zero evidence for this, but it seems like that when the V2 KPA Hardware was announced and shipped, Profiling V2 was still in its "White-board / Embryonic brain-storming stage" and KPA *had* to announce it [ or something ] to justify the release and need for V2 hardware.
KPA's handling of this whole "Profiling 2" feature has been an unmitigated cluster-f*ck ... with zero signs of ending any time "soon"
To me, this new software version taking 6 months already with no release is exactly the pattern of multiple previous Kemper developments - the delays, the reverbs, liquid profiles, the trems etc etc. Many of those took 9 months or more from when they were first shown at an audio show like NAMM or the Messe to being downloadable as a free OS revision. Sometimes, the beta release phase went on for some months beyond the first release.
I imagine that, to CK, this is all business as usual and all the chatter online is of no consequence - the dogs may bark but the caravan moves on as Paul Keating (Australian politician) used to say.

Yeah I fully expect it might've been e.g T-word related to get product into the US. Without enticing uses with V2 profiling, there's very little to make MK1 users jump for MK2.
Even when it releases, I just don't see how it has much to offer vs Tonex V2 or QC Capture V2. If the Nano Cortex gets that update, then I don't see a ton of appeal to Kemper Player either.

First time Kemper owner here... my KPP is in the mail, so technically owner in waiting.
I recently bought a Quad Cortex. I haven't decided which platform I'm going to adopt. I'm taking advantage of retailers return policy to "test drive" these units. Kemper's Liquid profiles, the definition, sag, pick, & all the extra settings inside the capture & the whole ecosystem intrigues me.

Accuracy takes time - we've never managed to release more than 2-3 products per year. The list of what we'd like to release is just as long as what we've already released.
Is your statement here that ‘tubes cannot be modelled ever’ or that ‘tubes haven’t been modelled yet but I can see that one day they’ll get them 100%?’.
Although Line 6 and Fractal are adding capture tech to their platforms, I think their motives are possibly more along the lines of ‘the market demands it’ more than ‘they think it’s the way of the future’. I think they would both argue that they’ve already modelled tubes to a good enough extent and I can see why they’d want to stick to their stories on that….. because the capture tech is out there in the wild already at a crazy low price point, I can see why Line 6 and Fractal are still keen to embrace modelling and the advantages it has. If they didn’t, they’d be putting much of the last 20 years in the bin.
If we’re honest, every method has some element of compromise but they are generally small compromises compared to the payback you get. I’ve actually been happier with the workflow on Stadium than I was scrolling through pages of other people’s captures. Although I’m excited to try the capture tech when they release it, I’m less excited by the concept than I was as the modelling they have is enough to fool me / make me happy.

Respectfully I would advise / recommend you return the KPP once you get it - testing it against the QC V2 with the "old" / "current" / "legacy" KPA Profiling will be very far from a fair dual.
I don't think the V2 Profiling will be out before your return period expires and the "most accurate" and up-to-date comparison will be QC V2 -vs- KPP V2 Profiles - of which KPA will release a few official packs for free to download as they did with the Liquid Profiling release.
Just my 2c / trying to help / feel free to ignore.

Thing with Industry standard is you only need to be the starter without real competition for long enough.
See ProTools for another example of that.
Yes! My intention wasn´t to critize your company, your amps are ashtonising, you´re doing an incredible job, I´m expecting your new amp. I love to use your amps as preamps and try with differents power amps, there are few amps preamps in profiling world. Sorry if you misunderstood me.
