Yeah I fully expect it might've been e.g T-word related to get product into the US. Without enticing uses with V2 profiling, there's very little to make MK1 users jump for MK2.I have less than zero evidence for this, but it seems like that when the V2 KPA Hardware was announced and shipped, Profiling V2 was still in its "White-board / Embryonic brain-storming stage" and KPA *had* to announce it [ or something ] to justify the release and need for V2 hardware.
Industry Standards of bad example™They could have done this so much better. They saw some of the mistakes ndsp made and thought hey let’s run with that!
Despite all the other brands have make a huge step in the last few months, the only brands that let move all the knobs of an amp in a realistic way (dynamic profiles) are:
-kemper with liquid profiling
-dibiquadro (perfect recreation of each know but few amps)
-uad paradise (same as dibiquadro but not good in high gain)
-maybe helix stadium (in the videos it seem realistic but I don't know if it has really realistic knobs).
So for me Kemper is still the king just for the liquid profiling, I don't know why there people that doesn't see it like something revolutionary.
Waiting for liquid profiling 2.0.
Personally I've accepted modeling solid state technology along time ago. Modeling tubes is a different thing all together.
As you say liquid profiles marries digital modeling to capture technology & I think that's the way of the future. That's why Fractal & Line 6 are adding capture tech to their platforms.
First time Kemper owner here... my KPP is in the mail, so technically owner in waiting.
I recently bought a Quad Cortex. I haven't decided which platform I'm going to adopt. I'm taking advantage of retailers return policy to "test drive" these units. Kemper's Liquid profiles, the definition, sag, pick, & all the extra settings inside the capture & the whole ecosystem intrigues me.
