Kemper Profiler MK 2

I will say the link you posted led to me checking out the wording they used to describe their OG profiling. While it lays it on thick (of course), the new wording for the Profiling 2 is much more bold imo

I just wish they would have released profiling 2 with the mkii.....that would have made too much sense 😂
They seem to be taking the page from NDSP
First we release a hardware box with the promise of new algorithms to be introduced at a later date

IF I had to guess, it would fall along the lines of say, Audi or Volkswagen, who make drastic design changes to their automobile designs that often drive the rest of the automobile industry.

Like I said earlier, it’s as if Kemper marches to the beat of their own drum. That’s said, Kemper would have to be going full-retard if they weren’t to at least “catch up” to the current competition in regards to capture accuracy.

I would have liked to see a better screen, especially one with more contrast in bright light conditions. But Ok. I agree with someone else who said more buttons and dials is quicker to edit. The Stage is indeed hard to figure out at first and some things are "weird" (like Expression assignment is global instead of per preset etc). But once you get the hang of it it's very quick and intuitive.

Plus, compared to Tonex, NAM, AxeFX, etc. while the profiles can be tweaked also heavily on a Kemper, the controls are very usable. Just the "Definition" parameter alone can basically do right, what 27 parameters in the Axe (IMO) couldn't. 90% of times I don't even touch anything else other than Gain and Definition on Profiles I'm trialling. Plus you got similar EQ and Treble Bleed on the Gain like in the real amp in Liquid Profiles, no other amp profiler has done anything similar, afaik. Same goes for the Kabinet and Speaker Imprint System which sounds amazing. Plus parameters like Sag, Pick, Clarity, Compression, ... they all make sense and sound great. The discussion here is very opinionated, but I wonder if all those who speak badly about the Kemper have actually used one in the past 3 years (since OS 10+) or just watch Leo Gibson videos and think they know all.

I also like my Tonex and NAM and the UAFX. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

If I would gig way more than I do, I guess I would just stick with the Stage MkI.

Now I am looking forward to hearing what MkII will enable in betterness - I'll probably be easier convinced than others to jump on the wagon.

This is absolutely not Representatieve for Kempers profiling. No clue what they did here….
There are countless other shootouts where not a soul on earth could tell what is what,
They did exactly the same thing they did with the other pedals and with the other amp at the beginning of the video (which turned out to be quite good instead on kemper): profiled/captured an amp.
There are countless other shootouts where the same kind of inaccuracy is shown too, this is just the most recent example.

This is the first one is see with Kemper being Miles apart, against a st load of others.
Also not in line with my own experience profiling….at all.
Sounds to me they left a global EQ on, or something of the sorts.

If this was the actual baseline…they would have never gotten where they did.

Never tried Kemper to be fair. Never denigrated it either.

Right or wrong, I am going to hitch my buggy to an affordable “full fidelity” NAM pedal once available.

The result probably depends on the amp you're profiling

Another example that came to mind, it's a long video but it goes pretty in depth and has chapters.
