Absolute baller move from Peavey
NAMM 2025: Boomer EditionWhat is old is new again 2025.
The town I grew up in only had one big music store for a long time, and they only sold Peavey. They mostly sold pianos and rented instruments for marching bands. Everyone in town sounded like shit. We'd get so excited when bands came in from out of town, we'd go gawk at their gear.My first actual amp was a Peavey. Studio Pro 40. $150. Friend had a Rage and
another had a Bandit. You could play the notes right and still sound so far off
whatever riff/lick you were playing.
Kids today have it so good! Stay away from the Peaveys children!![]()
LOL they even got it to stand in front of a brick wall, like it's taking its first band promo pic. (Someone needs to iron that distressed hardwood flooring, though.)
Alternately, "why Kay, Silvertone, Teisco..."All those "budget" offerings from the 60s---Kay, Silvertone, Teisco--saw their own resurrection, so why not Peavey?![]()
