Josh Homme Signature Peavey Amp

In all honesty, there wasn't even Crate or Gorilla at the time I started.

5 years later or so and more Solid State amps started to come out.
Even Fender.

But man, all we had was a Peavey. Or a different Peavey. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This was my first Peavey

You can see a recurring theme; 40 years later :ROFLMAO:

My first actual amp was a Peavey. Studio Pro 40. $150. Friend had a Rage and
another had a Bandit. You could play the notes right and still sound so far off
whatever riff/lick you were playing.

Kids today have it so good! Stay away from the Peaveys children! :rofl
The town I grew up in only had one big music store for a long time, and they only sold Peavey. They mostly sold pianos and rented instruments for marching bands. Everyone in town sounded like shit. We'd get so excited when bands came in from out of town, we'd go gawk at their gear.

I used to own a ton of Peavey PA gear. It was actually pretty good and cheaper than other brands. I had a few Peavey SS amps. They were their transtube circuits. There were just okay. I still have two Peavey tube amps that I bought many years ago. One is a Peavey JSX 212, one of the first ones out, and a Peavey Triple XXX 112. I like the clean and crunch channels on both of these amps. They are similar but different.

1) easy cash grab for Peavey
2) easy cash grab for Homme
3) street price seems to be 300$
4) worth 100$ at best
5) scalpers still try to sell originals for 500$
6) geeks will buy this instead and be happy

So, why not?

Despite being a Homme fanboy, I probably won't buy this.
The Acorn "Solid State" pedal gives me Decade toanz if needed.

All those "budget" offerings from the 60s---Kay, Silvertone, Teisco--saw their own resurrection, so why not Peavey? :idk
