iZotope vs FabFilter

Both are on sale and the fabfilter mix suite ends today. Looking for mixing only. Any thoughts?

Very different plug-in suites. iZotope is more about mixing based on automatic analyzation, FabFilter about excellent GUIs that can actually teach you how the different FX work. iZotope has a horrible history regarding support & keeping their plug-ins up to date, FabFilter on the other hand were one of the very first companies that updated their plug-ins with native M1 support.

My vote: FabFilter

I use both a lot. Neutron more than Ozone for the Izotope stuff. Fabfilter Pro-Q is the gold standard EQ imho. I use their reverb plugin a lot too.

The FabFilter stuff is great and if you’re specifically going for mixing, I’d definitely go there.
