Truss rod and action go off more than I'd like during season changes, I like my guitars to be low maintenance.
Let me recommend Signals Music Studio. Jake makes it quite interesting, teaches it within context, and he gets right to the point. His is definitely the channel I'd go to if I wanted to learn more theory.I wish I knew music theory better but at the same time have a hard time committing myself to learning more music theory. It's boring!
Nope. The only thing I get with dead-ish strings, is the non-wound strings start to develop weird over tones. Maybe my "dead" isn't as bad as some. For the guys who don't like changing strings and don't change them till they break, do you not have tuning issues with your guitars? I find if I don't change them in time I get all sorts of tuning and intonation problems playing a guitar with dead strings.
For me it is without a doubt, changing strings. I'll put it off as long as possible, until I either run out of high e singles, or the warbling overtones are driving me crazy. Dead strings? Not enough of a reason.
A distant 2nd is messing with tones.
And the fact that still, not even the almighty Axe-FX III, can give me a Blackmore tone.

That's the only thing that I have no problem with. It's everything else in my life that lacks motivation.but just wanting to pick up the guitar is like pulling teeth.
Even worse is writing a killer riff or even a song in your head while you are in the shower and then having forgotten it when you are near a guitar.I hate writing something totally fire randomly on the spot at practice and then inevitably not being able to 100% recreate it the next time.
a little off subject, but I like those D'addario half wound strings. They have that kinda worn in sound and last a long time. Stay in tune better, ime.For the guys who don't like changing strings and don't change them till they break, do you not have tuning issues with your guitars?
