"Is it gone, though?" AKA "Oh Hi, (not) Mark!" AKA Retail therapy

Last time I owned one, one of the things it got used for was a tour as a hired gun in a backing band for a ‘90s Dave Matthews-alike contemporary Christian singer-songwriter.

If I can pull that off with a Recto you can pull off Love Shack :rofl
What mode did you use? :sofa:rofl
Ironically, a duo setup of rectos is literally -the- Dave Matthew's band setup (Tim reynolds)….

I'm all for irony! My next step is to find a diagonal 2x12 because I'm not T-stacking this motherfunker on my EVH 112s :hmm

That's a sick looking & sounding amp!

Blows ass weeks away in an instant!

Rock on buddy & enjoy!

That’s awesome, I didn’t know he was using those now!

He must have seen me using one back in the day and copied me :rofl

Ch 3 modern all the way of course :satan

You know, now I’m wishing I could find one to play to hear that sound again. I’ve forgotten what it sounded like used the way I used it. And nobody makes YouTube clips of it being used like that!

Modern mode is RIPPING. Vintage kills as well. As does Raw. And clean. :bag Jury is out on pushed but I am betting up at volume it kills too.

I seem to remember with a Tele, el34’s, 50 watt, tube rectifier, spongy power, and either ch1 pushed or ch2 raw finding some good early breakup tones…

Now I need to play one again!

The OP gets a :rofl and :rawk, from me. (trust me, he has PLENTY of reason to laugh at me, on a PM level, lol).

Also, did I see you say that the clean channel is awesome? :farley

Only thing I will say that is not optimal is size. I WISH that everyone made everything Mark short head size. Finding a non-412, non 212 that's blasting my ankles is nonexistant.

I need to look at the connectors on the bottom of my Stealth to see how easily that could be moved to the Recto. I would want different speakers too and not matching would make my OCD twitch :nails
From what I gather, you have an empty Mesa cab. Unless you planning on moving it around, the best bet is to plywood two holes and buy two speakers of your choice.

They used to sell 2x12 cabs in 4x12 format.

I have a stereo 4x12 and honestly cant tell much difference between all four or just running one side.

I have an empty 4x12. I'm not gigging it. They have vertical 2x12s but they aren't wide enough for the Recto head.

I've been using this for many years, for 1x12 combos and now my Orange 1x12 and small heads. Works wonderfully:
