Another insane bro deal from my guy Jarrod at Tone Wars. $1200 shipped for this guy so I could NOT say “no”… should be here next week.

I think I’m going to swap the tubes for 2xKT88 and 4x6L6. Currently it’s mixed 6L6 and EL34.

Do you feel you are able to still enjoy new amps when you have stretches of rapid fire NADs? Or is it more satisfying when you've gone some time without a new one?

You know… This is actually a great question. And if I’m 100% honest, this is kind of how gear always works out for me. I go through extended dry spells where I really don’t get anything, and then a bunch of deals just kind of fall in my lap or work themselves out. So it’s kind of like Christmas happens a couple times a year for me.

Also, I can truly say that everything that I’ve gotten in recently have been amps I’ve been looking to get for a long time. So I guess you could say it makes a doubly satisfying? Especially since it’s kind of been my mission to get things that are not tonally redundant in my stable.

I definitely would say it also has to do with the “poor kid growing up on welfare“ in me that every time I walk into my little home studio, or gear room I’m just absolutely tickled about the collection I put together. For one, I’ve literally never paid close to new price for any of the stuff I have, and the fact that I guess I am fortunate to have been able to hop on all the deals that I have. I certainly don’t take it for granted!

It's beautiful. I am sure it will sound good also. Looks like aliens gave it to us humans as a welcome gift after visiting earth for the first time.

Well we enjoy seeing them roll in 😀 seems like an excellent mindset!

They’ll put a chip in my brain to understand how to use it! Lol.

Hopefully I won’t be walking funny when I wake up on the table…

Thanks man! Honestly I love seeing people get new gear. I get excited for them as well.

Manufacturer's warning: Please remember to frequently drink water after acquiring our gorgeous amp.

Men and women are known to drool after hearing the sounds and looking at it. It will help you hydrate.

Dang, killer deal on that amp. I haven't played the current iteration but the original one was sick and the new one looks even better. Definitely an amp that flies under the radar.

Nice score! Don't see them too often.

always been curious about these but never brave enough to pull the trigger on one. Curious it if has a distinctive character or sound, or if its a jack of all trades that does a bit of everything.

This is what happens when a builder has too many ideas at once.

Where do you start man?
It's a similar type of deal to say a Mesa Mark V. The Triamp just goes even further when it has separate gain/EQ/ch vol controls for 6 channels in total, plus the tube set options.

I think I've tried the Triamp Mk1 or Mk2 but only at low volume and I honestly didn't like it much like that. Plus an amp this complex would take you some time to really explore. The highest gain stuff seems kinda Recto-ish which has never been my thing.

Yah these amps are way more than I’ll ever need or imagine needing. It’s because I stay in a specific lane and don’t need much. I play my DSL, 5150’s, and really any 2 channel/voicing or more amp as a one channel. Like my Plexis or JMP 2203. Roll off for cleans. I’m only going as far as Hard rock saturation wise. So easy to do.

Still I’d make a go at one just see what’s up. Be fun. I’d prolly set each channel the same though, making it a multi one channel amp.:facepalm

I have a Triamp Mark 2 and I’ve got to say that it’s everything I’d hoped my Dual Recifier would have been. Actually great clean channel, actual Marshall tones, and the high gain tones sound amazing and have actual dynamics.

The footswitch is comically gigantic with a 900’ cable hardwired. But that’s my only complaint.

EDIT2: I didn't read the 1st post and thought JerEvil is Jarrod from Tone Wars.

It is you!
Love your show!

Edit: Gotta say, you made me very gassy over the years. 😆
Me owning a Peavey 6505 1992 Original was a big part thanks to you and Euge.
I may have a problem too... I'm surrounded by a ton of gear I NEED. :bag
