I'm taking photos for craigslist and I remembered that I have an old AHED GBX Superbug solid-state amp that maybe I could sell for a few bucks.
I bought it locally because it had a pair of 1973 Greenbacks in it. Those have already been harvested and I figured that this would never sell without speakers so I stuck a pair of old Jensen C12R speakers (harvested from an old broken Wurlitzer organ) in it because they always sounded awful in everything that I tried them in.
I tested the amp for function and HOLY COW! This thing sounds fantastic. It buzzes a bit so I think it needs a recap but man, now I can't sell this thing.
I read a little bit about these and apparently they were pretty well regarded back in the day. They employ a transformer for the speakers and that gives it Le Tone.
I am actually trying to sell stuff off but this one is staying. At least for now.
