Thank you, I'll check both of these out!

And yeah, I'm not too worried about v1 vs v2 captures for now. I know they've said they will update them all eventually, and I trust that, but I have a feeling it's going to be quite a while for the direct amp captures since everything so far has been amp + cab. I don't mind the v1s in the meantime :)

I messed with this over lunch for a short session and it sounds great too! I have not had a chance to dial it in as well as the first and I dont have my Stomp XL hooked up either right now but plan to break it out for different flavors of boosts & OD's

ENGL captured their amps, and I'm pretty sure they know how to mic and capture their amps. They were well-versed in the process. Having a negative opinion of the Tone Models is something to which anybody is entitled but acting like ENGL didn't know how to mic and capture an amp is a bit insulting.

Having reread what I wrote it did come out too harsh. I apologize and it was absolutely not meant to be insulting to either IK or ENGL. I was disappointed that the captures didn’t work for me when it was an official manufacturers collection, which I considered buying.

The only amp I own is an ENGL and I hope there will be a volume 2 regardless!

There's a lot of fantastic ones I did here of my amps. Nothing V2 yet.

That’s my experience as well, there’s some darkness, stuffiness and generally under gained (hi gain) captures there.

But I’m going to shut up about it and tap out of Tonex before I piss off anyone else.

I have some of my own captures using the exact same settings of both NAM and TONEX V2 and both are really good to my ears. If anyone wanna check them out I’ve posted links. Or just DM me.

My reply sounds too harsh too, that's why I pointed out that opinions are... we'll just say like opinions and all, and mine was based on one amp I got on with in the pack and spent almost all my time with. Also, you can insult IK all you want haha. I was defending the honor of a partner a bit too much, and reading your reply here I totally understand disappointment and know exactly what you mean. I've gone through that SO many times, even with gear and such that I heavily researched, tried, etc. Sometimes it just doesn't "click".

My apologies for being too defensive. Unless ENGL folks are reading this, then I am forced to threaten to kick yer butt or something
