Yeah, I haven’t really been delighted with most IK-branded capture packs either (I have all of them).

I always recommend Amalgam Audio. You could buy some of their V2 capture packs on Tone.net during this sale.

However, keep a few things in mind:
  • Amalgam only offers full amp + cab captures on Tone.net (so for their DI captures, you’ll have to buy directly from Amalgam).
  • For users who have bought V1 capture packs directly from Amalgam, they have promised to eventually provide free V2 updates of those packs — but not if the V1 packs were bought on Tone.net.
  • Amalgam always offers bundle discounts when buying directly (3 for 2, 5 for 3, and 10 for 5).
So I personally have bought all my Amalgam captures directly from them (typically using the 10 for 5 discount).

Yeah I always get mine direct from them. Cheaper, more options, their discount offers are top and Karlis is a sound chap so prefer to pay them directly as sure it's better for them.
 
The Amalgam Lonestar pack is really nice. I got the full capture version, but they recently released the DI version which I plan to pick up at some point soon.

Without going through his thread, is anyone having issues with the Modeler / captures being stuck in training mode? I just did 12 captures and none are getting past the training stage, the first one is showing 0:00 ETA. I never had this problem when I did these a few months ago. I'm using the Optimized Training because I have an older 2017 iMac. Damn, this is some frustrating software.

I think it was Fremen on the other forum, who had several issues like that. Maybe there's an update of IKM's servers or just plain neglect?

Ah yes, it's been some time since I last made captures. Thought ToneX used cloud training like the rest (except maybe Kemper?) Still could be an online/offline account issue or is it not necessary to be online when training captures?
