I Want a Headless

So I’m guessing you have tried all the Sire Larry Carlton guitars then .Not.
Yes many. I have worked on some really bad ones

Look at this pos.

They cost literally 3x what any other manufacture would charge for the same thing hiding poor value under a vail of "original" parts that are in fact budget manufactured OEM from the usual suspects . A truly horrible company.
Exactly this, they should be in a price range about the PRS SE Guitars.

Nope.
The same way he didn't try every Epiphone but claimed they're all shit.
I said they're not.
He asked for pictures of truss rod cover removed and electronics cavity.
I provided.
He agreed they're better than he remembers. Coming from someone with such... charming, personality that's like saying "those are fucking great".

Moral of the story, don't trust everything you read online even when it's from a self proclaimed experts with a chip on their shoulder.

Sorry I don’t believe you.
Those pictures could be from anything.
I have seen many Sire Larry Carlton guitars and own 8 of them and have never seen a badly made one.
That particular pos was in for new pickups and vintage tuners.

Utter garbage and totally representative of all the others I have had in .
Weighed a ton made of the cheapest wood, thick plastic finish. The frets were level though so it played fine. That doesn’t make up for the rest though.

Also note the original tuners aren’t even straight and the truss rod cover is not in the middle and that’s better than many of them.
The hex key is shown to demonstrate a sizeable gap around the truss rod that extends right down the neck. I fitted a set of Duncan Antiquity and all new cts and switchcraft to it. And then compared it to a vintage Gibson. The Gibson was half the weight even with the Nevertune er Bigsby.

Still sounded like a concrete block in comparison.

I know a few people that have that guitar and they are all happy with them. Myself included.

If you’re happy that is good but I can’t honestly recommend instruments that have a catalog of issues starting with being built from incredibly poor quality wood and then a really thick plastic paint job to hide this. The upgrade in the photos I provided show that even high end electrics don’t really save it. This is not a bargain guitar because it is fundamentally flawed.

So you accept that those pictures of serious poor quality are the Sire now do you?

Just because you might have seen one that wasn’t up to scratch doesn’t mean you can tar all with the same brush.
The condition of that makes me wonder why the customer didn’t just send it back to the retailer.?
Or wasn’t it a new one?

That’s one of the better ones.
He didn’t notice the issues, most don’t.
That is representative of the issues I see on these whenever they come in.

The owner was concerned removing it would change the tone ,I would be concerned if it didn’t.
He never uses it and has three others from the same year all with them.
