Probably Pink Floyd. Multiple songwriters. Various epochs/periods. Growth and evolution.
Vocal harmonies. Melodic leads. Psychedelic influences.

There is stuff from them in the late 60s that predates punk and thrash. Those intense/heavy
moments are not often noted by many people. They did it all. And brilliantly.

I don't know if I can pick just one because I love both of these bands for different moods: Counterparts and Bilmuri.
