I would have never imagined that Tony Carey never played Hard Rock when he joined Rainbow. I believe him when he says that he could bluff his way into a Convent as a cucumber salesman 🥒💦 :rofl

"... Made in Japan was all over the way, so I knew what he [Blackmore] was kind of looking for. It's like a little bit of fake Classical really loud with a bit of {prague???} touch"

I don't catch what word he is saying there (at 2:21). Something like "prague"?? That is a city. I don't know what he means

Probably meant "prog" as-in "progressive rock". Think Pink Floyd, '70s Genesis, etc. Evolved from psychedelia mostly, I believe.
Lots of people cite "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" as the first prog-rock album, similar to the first Black Sabbath record being regarded as the beginning of heavy metal.

That must be right. Thank you for the clarification. YouTube subtitles said "Prague", so every time I re-listened it I could only hear the word "Prague", and Prog didn't come to my mind
:rollsafe

Yeah, never had it happen, but I always had a rule that when the ouija board came out, that was my cue to leave.
