$1799 for the Stadium vs $1679 for the TMP.Oh…. I thought it was like 5-700 cheaper
Yeah tmp be a tough sell at that really.$1799 for the Stadium vs $1679 for the TMP.
Oh wow I thought fender dropped the price more realizing they priced it too high?Yeah tmp be a tough sell at that really.
I think it's a very nice product. Very good sounds (especially now that weaker ones have been fixed), easy to use. But it just doesn't offer much. I also think the choice to go with encoder switches might have been a little short sighted. Having the knob right under the graphic would be faster for sure. But that's a minor thing and a matter of preference.Oh wow I thought fender dropped the price more realizing they priced it too high?
At those prices you listed it’s a no brainer to go stadium.
I always thought fender should’ve released the TMP at $1000. That way they could definitely beat out all the Chinese hotel and stuff and even the lower line helix stuff. And stay more in their lane so to say
I saw a couple of people say that the modulation effects in the TMP weren't up to scratch so I recorded a demo of my 1984 Boss CE-3 vs the Stereo Analog Chorus in the TMP. What do you guys think?
It's just a rebadged Fender FR-12, so I'd think everyone knows what it can do already :)I’ll dovetail this thread instead of starting a new one for such a simple question. I’ve got an EVH Hypersonic FR12 for review. If anyone has any questions or something I should include in the review then let me know!
Weird one to do justice cause micing it will sound weird. Can only really measure levels and go through features etc
I’ll probably run the TMP straight into it but I also just got the valetone gp5 so I’ll do a different video checking out NAM stuff straight to the powered cab

Well I'm definitely closer to retirement with the $2 I'll earn from it.Nine posts, and almost all YouTube videos. Are you here to participate, or are you here to shill your YouTube channel?

That's a good point. There’s a surprising lack of decent videos on the FR12. I’d say hearing the FR12 with a room mic about where you would sit or stand would be interesting along with hearing different impulses or cabs through it.
I think it would be great to see you compare it to the FR12. We know they are the same things but god forbid Fender ever admit anything because they suck.I’ll dovetail this thread instead of starting a new one for such a simple question. I don’t have the Fender FR12 to compare it to. I’ll see if I can find the preamp (haven’t opened it yet)I think it would be great to see you compare it to the FR12. We know they are the same things but god forbid Fender ever admit anything because they suck.
In that same line of thought; I'd also like to know if they are using the same preamp. I have another V2 preamp coming in from Liam at Archangel and I am almost tempted to grab the Hypersonic (and remove the badge, obviously). The "flat settings" on the preamp the FR12 ships with is idiotic and if it's the same with the EVH; ugh.
As petty or insignificant as this might seem; just being able to have BMT at noon and be reasonably sure it's "flat" vs. B at 2.7, M at 7.9 and T at 3.3 is a big deal! Did you say you have the Laney FR or...? Might be a good comparison there if so?I don’t have the Fender FR12 to compare it to. I’ll see if I can find the preamp (haven’t opened it yet)
I’m pretty sure fender even said it’s the same stuff in an EVH housing but that’s still a colloquial term. There could be minor changes like the preamp and maybe the housing has some minor effect on things. Haha noted on the flat settings![]()
Nah I haven’t used an FR since a Mackie setup with the axefx2. I was kind of burned on that and the fender FR10/12 was the first time it seemed enticing again to plug a modeller straight into something. Then the evh badged ones got announced and it felt right to give one a try.As petty or insignificant as this might seem; just being able to have BMT at noon and be reasonably sure it's "flat" vs. B at 2.7, M at 7.9 and T at 3.3 is a big deal! I know 10x more about dialling things in now than when I had it back then, interesting to hear how it goes for high gain stuff
