I think for better or worse; we're stuck with Boss being the "ambassadors" for guitar synth

Rabea is cool though, for sure.

Quite unfortunately. Thing is, personally I'd *really* love to have some of that stuff and would defenitely use it here and there, but at the same time I already know I'd never use it enough to justify a seperate unit on top of what provides the meat and potatoes. So some onboard capabilities in whatever modeler I might be using would be extremely welcomed and actually a kind of purchasing point for me.
They wouldn't even have to go all in on a "real" guitar-synth, a bunch of modulation options and proper filters (defenitely quite a weak spot in the HX series, given that I can get better synth-ish filter stuff out of my lowly MS-50) would already go a long way, possibly along with improved pitch shifting.
Any kind of EHX alike stuff would be fine as well.

I mentioned the same thing above. Unforced error, IMO. But I don't *really* care that much about the strips, as I tend to just look at switch light color coding anyway.
A foot switch view like what is available on the LT would make up for it, for me.

On the other hand, you could automate all of your switching in Showcase to one footswitch going sequentially through the song that preset is for and not even have to think about it.

That's part of what's so amazing about this....they have taken warp-speed leaps ahead of the competition in terms of usability and user experience.
You overestimate me. I don’t have any real functional needs for scribble strips or automation. I just like how scribble strips make the whole digital setup more like a collection of pedals on the floor.

Did anyone else wonder that they didn't showcase any new spectacular sounds? I mean, like a super lush reverb, some incredible pitch shifting madness or whatever...
