I think the morphing thing DI talked about would be parameter modulation?
I mentioned the same thing above. Unforced error, IMO. But I don't *really* care that much about the strips, as I tend to just look at switch light color coding anyway.original thought, I know, but it is a bummer that the treadle and scribble strips are a package deal. love scribble strips. hate integrated pedals.
So, firmware updates for the "old" Helix are over with, as of today?![]()
There was A LOT going on so I could have misunderstood that part tooI thought it was just for patch modification - but I might re-watch and there might be some hidden gems under that morphing hood.
Boots up just by staring at the thingOk…what’s the boot time?

PS: didn't get to watch the complete stream, I was at work and am driving home next.
For the guys sweating the explicit mention of synth capabilities....are y'all forgetting that DI is the product manager for this too?
Mans loves the esoteric and electronic, and there is NO WAY he's letting this new flagship be without those capabilities (or if it's not there at launch, it's right around the corner update-wise).
Well, DI explicitely mentioned that this would not mean EOL for the old HX series - but they might as well just have to sell some old stock, you never know.

I think for better or worse; we're stuck with Boss being the "ambassadors" for guitar synthWell to be fair helix didn't get no synth either other then mono which is ok sometime, but come on boss sy-300 has been out as long as helix has and they can do it without a special pickup so why can't other people?
Even H90 has it now, and few others doing polyphonic like meris enzo x, EHX stuff etc..
I'm positive that will eventually arrive. What they've shown was just too much work already. Once it's released, the update party will startThis will sell like mad, no question.
My personal thoughts after this presentation: Some things are adressed nicely (and even really, really nicely), some aren't adressed at all it seems. As said, still no global blocks (which seem to have gained more than just Mr. Franck's interest) and no words about whatever kind of synth-stuff, a parameter modulation system of whatever sorts. The latter being something I'd be really interested in - the only companies doing that kinda stuff still seem to be FAS and Boss.
