Yep, that's the sound.
The preamp can really do everything form clean to high gain with a boost, and if you add the poweramp you can get Plexi and clean breakup and more, a true classic for a reason.
I hope Line 6 don't skip the Low Sensitivity Input, that's a big part of what makes this amp so versatile with every type of guitar.

they should use the low input and pedals, or another guitar or amp. Low input is great for single coils + pedals

Let's hope for a revisited 220X they just use a plain old 498T or SH4 equipped Gibson. Cookie cutter as fuck, but undeniably a good standard.

Why don't you guys use something else!? Is it because you own a Helix already, in which case this thread makes sense. Otherwise, there are quite a few killer NAM JCM 800s. Fractal is awesome as well.

All the JCM800 NAM captures I tried are shit, amateurs cranking the Master up to 6-8 into a load box.
