Helix JCM800 2203 Request Thread (FW 3.70 new Brit 2203)!

Mikko is totally right, every JCM800 plugin I try is very different than the other.
It's the 2nd decade of the 21st century, we have spaceships and AI but we can't accurately emulate a simple circuit of a 120 year old technology with our space age tools?
This is a conundrum of epic proportions.

If anyone here is doing the Tonex thing, I’ve made a handful of direct captures of my Ceriatone 2204 with and without the bright cap, as well as using either a Captor or 1960a for the load.

Thanks!! Only using CS, but hopefully I'll get a chance to check it out this weekend!

tried to include Helix here but its just so different to what the others sound like because of the bright cap. Muddy and muffled, even with the EQ cranked to try and get some bite going on. MAYBE if I got my hands dirty with pre-EQ I could have got somewhere but if I was happy to do that, then I wouldn't be in this thread. These models are all different to each other but they all tick the right JCM800 boxes for me.

To be honest I tried a real JCM800 a century ago, only once, when I couldn't even realize what I was playing.

Nevertheless I state 😏 that the fantastic Derailed Ingrid amp model in the Helix (=Trainwreck Express) is close enough to it and its bright switch option (with the choice of 100 and 500 pF caps) is the missing bright cap we have been discussing for a very long time.
So, eventually, I can start playing again using this lovely amp model that offers an excellent dynamic response and make me experience what I have learnt here (about why and how important the bright cap is in some cases). Thanks!

I know people are trying to find an equivalent to a stock JCM800 2203 using different amp models and pedals but there is none, nothing in the Helix sounds or behaves like a stock 2203.
The Trainwreck Express is a Fender/Boogie Mark like amp with the tonestack before the gain stages, similar to a Dumble ODS we got recently, yes it has a switchable bright caps but it's very far from being a JCM800.

After 30 seconds reading about the JCM 800 on Marshall's official website, a really dumb copywriting error jumped right at me. I might seem pedantic, but some people are actually paid to put words together... 😬

Next time, let an actual guitarist write this, rather than a cheap SEO prick.

Can you spot it?

"High and low sensitivity outputs designed to work with a wide range of guitar pickups."

The sensitivity INPUTS are not there to accomodate a "wider range of guitar pickups" either.
Whoever wrote that didn't put a single finger on a guitar in his life, let alone played this iconic amp.
Probably some marketing undergrad, for shame Marshall.

I don’t think I’ve ever played a real 800. Played 900s and DSLs. Never played a real Plexi either.
