Helix 3.7: The Freeman Update

PS., I'm not talking about big amps like what L6 did in the past, it has to be smaller than lunchbox amps, something that will be an addon to the existing line of modelers, "HX Power Amp" or something like that.
The point is, if you pair the modeler with this proprietary power amp you have an exact replica of the original amp.

The key is measuring the real impedance curve in real time and sending it back to the modeler via ADC to be part of the virtual amp and and a class D poweramp, all in a small box.

With the right I/O and visual feedback, that could make some KILLER amp captures and IR's. In theory it could do preamp, poweramp, whole amp, amp and cab and IR's in the same pass. Might need a companion Helix ground isolation box to go with it :ROFLMAO:

(would obviously need some powerful HW and features that may not be possible on current units).

Obvious box...maybe another addition or update to the 4 series, like they did with the DL4 MkII. An FM4 MkII with more synth and filter options, more editing parameters (ADSR), LFO, and maybe a vocoder? A new PM4 pitch FX unit with custom scales and more powerful formant shifting? And all of this with the eventual port over to the HX units? YES PLEASE.

oh... come on, why does helix always at last, mr klein? I won't be able to take out my helix until the end of the year to update it and save it again?🤣

I think you guys are on to something. Maybe they will take the Catalyst power amp into a standalone box but have options for flat, different power tube modeling as well as IR/cab support for running direct.

Given that our stuff always seems to leak , it shouldn't be much longer now...
TIME FOR A PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE!
