Headrush Flex Prime

Some calmed words here.

I think some of you are not being fair with some aspects.

Super cloning has never been released by any other brand in this way. No, it's not liquid profiling. It's multiple captures interpolating. There's some others doing that in way out another, but so far no other brand has released a capturing tech to blend those captures into a parametric one, and play it in a unit.

Is it good? I don't know.

Is it innovative? Yes, it is. There had been guys developing and programming it.

Regarding latency... HR coming big latency issue was addressed long ago in a firmware update. So, until someone (we're looking at you, Leo) measures it in the new unit, it's totally unfair to say it has 26ms. Unless I've lost some info, that can happen (didn't read the whole thread), and in that case I also think it's unusable. But if it's still unmeasured, We must wait.

Apart from this, yeah, HR has a very bad tracking. I'm just saying that several things are not old algos and pure old software repacking.

I've said all I need to. I'm gonna dip out of all this...so I don't piss on any more Cheerios. Truth is hard to swallow....seems to be a trend lately.

Fwiw, Revalver has always been pretty innovative, the guy (what was his name again, some scandinavian dude?) just had bad luck with some of his business decisions, otherwise we might've seen some killer plugins - and likely hardware as well.

Truth is it has 26 ms latency?

Serious question.
All one has to do is get a prime or a core ..update to 4.0......then test. And all this would be answered...but I said this pages ago.

I'm just done proving my point...to one or 3.....i convinced myself a long time ago. I know what's what...so I'm fine.

Ok, so your 26 ms truth was actually false unless otherwise proved.

Curious concept of telling the truth, mate.

You are not engaging in a fair conversation, all one has to do is read. I am not arguing with someone over anything headrush....I know what they offer ...if you are so interested to provide data do so....I don't care anymore.

I never said that latency was 26 ms....I said It probably was....but comprehension is selective I suppose.

From what I remember, HR products are always the worst for latency, every time, even before clones are factored in. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Please I'm trying to leave it be....and be cool.

I really do not care anymore about HR, or it's users.....truth

I think the ”take a poo” at the brands is quite evenly pooed around here compared to other poo forums. Maybe fractal gets a better ass wiping treatment than other brands here. But there’s pooing on fractal to, impressively by fractal users around here that really likes Fractal. So while HR might get slightly more poo… I think we should be positive about the fair amount of evenly distributed poo on this forum.
And I like that we can poo on brands here yet have fun discussions about the poo. And poo with their reps to. The reps seem to take our pooing pretty well. If you poop in the wrong place on tgp… the forums members will jump over you. We don’t do that here I believe. We embrace each others poo. And we should. After all. Most of the discussions we have is actually poo compared to actuall guitar playing.

You all are poo!!!!

This post is spooptacular!! Brilliant! :beer

This is all kind of a bit of ironic synchronicity for me, as I had a literal Poo Box
delivered to my doorstep by UPS. It was here when I came home tonight. In the
instructions it says I am supposed to Poo in the Box, and then have UPS pick
it up so they can take my Poo In The Box to a place where.... well... you know.... :poop:

The great thing about the Headrush is that they were able to port PC models onto it. IDK if that means it is more akin to a PC running linux than a DSP device. Which means it may be possible for them to turn it into an open platform, with ability to run PC sims.

Isn't that the endgame really?

It's a little silly how everyone on these parts feel the need to take a giant dump on HR whenever they release something yet Fractal, Tonex and Line 6 can seemingly do nothing wrong. Even Neural, who started a giant dumpster fire when they launched Quad Cortex, get less sh!t around here than HR does.

I get it: HR is "old tech", Revalver is "old tech", their amp cloning isn't as good as the other brands', yadda yadda. All I know is, I have both a Line 6 HX Stomp (fantastic device) and a Headrush Pedalboard and I would much rather dial in a tone on the Pedalboard than on the Stomp, the interface is just that much better. The feature set is not as great as the Line 6 products but the ones that are there are infinitely easier to get at and also just the ones that I need, nothing more.

So can we maybe stick to talking about the actual product instead of just dumping all over the manufacturer? I asked a genuine question about the purpose of the Fractal VP4 when it came out and was practically lynched for questioning the decisions of our Great Lord, Cliff of the Fractal. But then a Headrush product comes out and we're all about burying the product before we even know what it is...

Geez, this elitist fanboy-ism is precisely the reason I left TOP.
Hey i think the hr core interface is the bomb when I recently demoed it but the tones and effects just werent as sweet as the gui. I even like the gui better then the tmp gui

They’re like one step up from being a GC house brand, but the real thing here is: don’t have feeling about gear. Nothing to be upset about that way. I know exactly two HR players right now. One loves the thing and it sounds . . . fine. The interface and the look sells it for them. The other has gone through two gig boards and three MX5s before getting something that didn’t develop major hardware issues within a month or two and they’re sticking with it because they know it. There have been more than a few beta testers for HR in the last couple months shitting in the brand because they have no interest in making a better product, just new products with better margins.
Local gc has 3 hr full size boards in the used casr

This cloning bullshit is 100% unusable, just based on the dogshit latency. I don't care if a fucking elf takes my amp apart and rebuilds it bit by bit in my computer, if it's 26ms, it's useless.
I agree, but 26ms you would actually see it in a video, have you spotted any 26ms latency in the demos??

And I'm not being a dick, but you have actually not mention 1 actual product on the market that can do Super Cloning!!, not 1

I've seen a guy reviewing it, saying he thinks the captures sound better than Cortex ones.

Not that I trust that guy, however. I don't. I just think I need more reviews to see what's going on.
My understanding is that it is based on the Revalver technology which they bought from Peavey and that was absolutely terrible. Kemper completely shamed it last go. No mention of AI, which is literally everywhere else these days, makes me think it is likely just an evolution of that which is a subpar technology.

Revalver is their software version of this. It’d be easy for anyone here to demo. Will probably give it a spin at some point but HR is always going to be a mid-tier compromise kind of option, IMHO.
