""FRFR""-No Go will be ideal.

I doubt that this is trying to compete with a 4 x 12
That’s a good point on perspective and I truly hope I never come across like that. I just know that when I was young and broke, I built a rig piece by piece around the concept of 6L6 power and 4x12s. I don’t think I’d do it differently if I were in that situation today. There are no absolutes in this world. I still hear ya. But being on top of the mountain and
yelling down to the dregs below is just going to make you tired and hoarse.
Like I said, I agree with you, though.... just not absolutely.
Options are options. I doubt that this is trying to compete with a 4 x 12.
When we were young we pieced together what we could with what we had. If I was young today I’d probably have a Valeton plugged into the karaoke machine someone left next to their garbage bin, dreaming of a fractal through QSC’s.That’s a good point on perspective and I truly hope I never come across like that. Yes, yes it is.We also have to remember not to be elitist fucks. Too big of an ask??
I have no desire for real amps anymore. It's a money pit, when I've got a lot of interests outside of guitar gear to also spend money on.That’s a good point on perspective and I truly hope I never come across like that. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not one of the knobs who claims modelers are better than the amps they model, or whatever. And I still geek out over new stuff coming out. I just don’t see it happening for me personally, at this point of my ripe middle age.I am bigger and dumber than the big, dumb amps I still seem to want to buy.
Not big and dumb enough, though, to assume that big, dumb amps are for everyone.
That's just crazy!!!
I think this thing actually makes a lot more sense than the 112 or 108. It basically turns your small modeler into a Yamaha THR or whatever those things are called. Great for around the house, for a little songwriting session, or street-corner jam.We also have to remember not to be elitist fucks. Too big of an ask??
Not everyone has decades of experience, and has played every amp under the
Sun, gigged on stages, and bought time in studios. For someone out there this
""FRFR""-No Go will be ideal.
yeah, I turned my "pedal a month is a perfectly fun little thing to do that is hardly noticeable on the budget" hobby into a "lens a month" thing this fall. Unfortunately, the lens a month hobby is a very noticeable on the budget And I still went and bought an MIJ Gretsch...Don’t get me wrong; I’m not one of the knobs who claims modelers are better than the amps they model, or whatever. Yeah, I’m looking at switching to mirrorless, which is gonna be costly.yeah, I turned my "pedal a month is a perfectly fun little thing to do that is hardly noticeable on the budget" hobby into a "lens a month" thing this fall. Overall I just don't get to play amps in a way that makes the payoff worth the money put into them nearly enough to justify it at this point...and as willing as I am to do absurd stuff, having a tube amp feeding into a load to then feed into something else to play at modest volume just... No. I'll take modeler dweeb over that nonsense all day long.
I got co-opted into being the middle school x-country team photographer which justified the move to mirrorless for me this fall and the auto-focus improvement is no joke.Yeah, I’m looking at switching to mirrorless, which is gonna be costly.
On the plus side -- I'm on Canon and have had zero problem just running old EF glass on the RF adapter. Leads to a little bit of wonkiness in that you now have this relatively tiny body with a lens that is an extra 3/4" longer than it would be otherwise, but...a lot cheaper than having to go with all new lenses.Yeah, I’m looking at switching to mirrorless, which is gonna be costly.
