what does that mean?Mooer, Headrush, Nux, Ampero and those kinds of products have become too derivative.

With Line6, Kemper, FAS you have clearly separated lines of products with very well defined capabilities and tiers.what does that mean?
Hahaha! Looks like someone has an opinion. With Line6, Kemper, FAS you have clearly separated lines of products with very well defined capabilities and tiers.
With the other ones you have a bunch of devices that are all over the place in terms of power, capabilities and "families".
They're all more or less disposable but with Nux, Ampero and Headrush they're especially disposable.
Got to demo the gore for a few hours and i do like the form factor. The looper and the screen and gui interface alot. Too bad the tones and effects were so meh to me and just not alive feeling. Imagine a fractal engine with the interface.. would be very coolAfter spending a lot of time with the Core and comparing directly with the GT-1000, Helix, QC, Kemper Player and others I can say it's last on my list in terms of sound quality. I wanted to put it up against the Ampero Stage but I didn't have one available. Surprisingly I think the Kemper Player came out on top. Such a shame because the hardware and UI on the Core are fantastic. And before someone chimes in and says "it's all subjective" - no, it's really not. There are good and bad models and captures. This is not one of the best as far as sound, unfortunately.

Agree with build snd ui for sure.. and the looperAfter spending a lot of time with the Core and comparing directly with the GT-1000, Helix, QC, Kemper Player and others I can say it's last on my list in terms of sound quality. Isn't this just literally connecting it to a computer via usb, copy all the folders from the HR to the computer, zip them if you want and voila? Or do you mean one-button-backup that creates a single file you can use to backup and restore from?[...]
-No way to do a full system backup / restore to USB or HR Cloud as far as I can see

I believe I said "to USB" and "to HR Cloud"You make some good points and I agree with most of them. Although I don't have issues with delays and reverbs but then again: I've never tried a Fractal. But this one I don't get:

Because I've had no problems backing up and restoring. In fact, that's what led me to upgrade my HR Pedalboard to an HR Prime. I could just backup my entire Pedalboard, copy the folders over on my new Prime and that was it. Everything was working on the Prime as it did on my Pedalboard, including setlists, button mappings, etc.
With the superclones, I would say somewhere between the Helix and QC. Not perfect, but absolutely good enough. Built-in amps from HR as well as ReValver, delete all and forget about them! Superclones is where it's at.Where these puppies lie with regard to tone in the grand scheme of things? Better than a stomp? Same?

Mine has some included. They all sound surprisingly good. I'm still kind of shocked, they behave like Kemper liquid profiles.People talk up the superclones, but Core doesn't come with any from the factory that I'm aware of. My bandmates often use a Headrush Core, and the default amp models are...ok. Won't win any beauty contests The effects are mostly lackluster, but they do have a synth....so that's cool, at least.
The UI is of course easier to get around than a Stomp, and they do have nice selectable defaults per effects device from the factory. Seems to have a higher overall output too because I constantly have to crank my Stomp volumes when recording with my guys.
But if I had to choose between the two - Stomp all day every day.

The Freeman DS superclone that comes with the HR Core is PERFECT for clean, crunch and lead. Love it!They must have come with a recent firmware. My bandmate bought his from Guitar Center shortly after it was released (no factory clones of any sort) and never, ever updates it. He loves it, BTW. Don't think he'll ever get rid of it.
I have no problem there because A) it makes him happy B) that unlocks his creativity and ensures he doesn't waste much time tone hunting.
Oooh! I haven't checked that out yet! Will have to give it a goThe Freeman DS superclone that comes with the HR Core is PERFECT for clean, crunch and lead. Love it!
