I recognized the Classictone codes immediately. Looks like it's going to be a 50W Plexi or JMP. I used the same OT (40 - 18025) and Choke (40 - 18058) in my build. I went with the 40 - 18095 PT because I thought I was going to experiment with B+ voltage.
I'm curious to see where your B+ voltage lands with the 40 - 18023.
Where I live, it can get almost Las Vegas, Nevada or Phoenix, Arizona hot, we get burned into our homes, just like how people get snowed in for the winter.
I do my own guitar work and audio ; rack and pedalboard construction .
I got tired of waiting on guitar techs and them not doing exactly what I want or need, so I started doing it myself, to have it done rightm
Classictone went out of business in 2021. They supplied transformers to some big names like Mesa and Friedman at one point. I thought I read something about their parent company, Magnetic Components, looking to start up again. I don’t think it’s happened thought.
I built 3 amps with Classictone PT/OTs and they turned out great. I thought they offered more variety than their competitors, which was great for DIYers. They had upright versions of a lot of their PTs whereas most manufacturers would only offer the lay down version. They had project style PTs with multiple secondary voltages.
