GT-1000 Core users, is there a universal noise suppressor?

For some reason, the GT-1000 core is WAY noisier than the Boss GS-10, with pretty much exactly the same settings (boss has to be given MAJOR kudos for making the fx nearly identical to the same fx on legacy products). I see there's some sort of noise thing on the total inputs function, even with a suppressor threshold, but I don't see how to make it work
