Sounds pretty good through the FX loop returns, but I still need to balance things out better. Monoprice Stage Right 15w tube amp on the top and Cat 200 pulling base duty. Let me know what you think, lol...

Have you rolled the tubes in that amp yet? Buddy of mine brought one over and I was impressed right off the bat. We dropped in some NOS RCAs in the preamp slots and were blown away!

Same. I have a friend with one and he put a WGS speaker (cant remember the model) and re-tubed it. His amp sounds great.

So you are running both outputs to the returns on each amp? In this config I would look into either a tilt eq or eq's on l/r doing separate duty to really separate the sounds.. Like setting up a crossover. Also a good opportunity for a wet/dry set up.

Great idea by the way to run it into both returns.

The only thing I have done is increase the bias. I think I turned it up to about 12.25 from around 8ish if I remember correctly. Let me know which ones you put in and I'll definitely try it.

I have been wanting to change the speaker in it, but wasn't really sure if I wanted to go down that rabbit hole not knowing exactly what I wanted in there. Let me know if you remember what speaker and tubes you put in. It comes stock with a Celestion Seventy 80 and it's okay, but nothing great to my ears.

Yes, I am using both outputs in mono to the returns and so far I have just been using the output pan to adjust the sound levels. Can you assign l/r or tilt eq's with the Stomp XL or will I need separate eq pedals for that? Would stereo be an option here as well? I have read about wet/dry, but never done it.

I set this up last night, but wasn't able to really test drive it due to the wife, but this morning, I cranked it up and it sounded great to my ears. Closest I have gotten to old Led Zep and GVF tone with the crunch. Definately seemed good(and loud) enough to piss off the neighbors. Once I figure out how to Eq it properly, I'll dial in a few clean tones.

Sorry for the dumb questions, just starting out and I have only had the Stomp XL for about 6 months. I know I am only scratching the surface with this thing and it can do so much more.

Rad, have fun with that amp, man. Lotta tone for a little dough. We used RCA "Long Plate" 12AX7's, iirc. Also threw a Satellite White preamp in front, and that setup was just epic.

Cool it sounds like you got it sussed out. To run dual eq's just do a split path and pan them hard l and r. You just put 2 eq blocks on your current path and pull one down. Then pull down the split points. Then click on the multi bubble at the end of both paths and pan them. I am showing 3 cos I have an LT.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. As a newbie, this XL makes me feel like an idiot sometimes. Learning something new everyday though. Thanks!!
