Nice. I've said before a fractal plugin would be an insta-buy for me. I'm a man of my word, although I haven't had the proper time to buy it just yet.For a minute there, I thought I might be able to resist buying this. I was wrong.
Gold Jerry... GOLD! Thanks for jumping in! Yer a pioneer!Screwing with it more this evening:
‘59 Bassman model alone is worth the price. The Bassman kind of goes hard. It need to use this more in the big box.
Dweezil Bassman and Brown Deluxe for me‘59 Bassman model alone is worth the price.
Thanks for the feedback. If you can post this here so the developers will see it that would be appreciated:Screwing with it more this evening:
- Yeah, something is off when cycling presets with a track playing. Whether it’s adding it to a moving track cold, or already loaded, it freezes cycling presets. I can’t replicate this issue with any of my other plugins. @2112 are you having that issue? (Not too many here have it yet) I have zero issues tweaking a preset with it in playback, but I can’t live cycle presets without getting an overload prompt.
- That said I got to 6 instances before bailing trying to hose down a project. I think the resource use is fine, unless trying to live demo presets.
- The grid needs to be viewable at all times. It gets obscured behind everything in preset list view and if you want to get “back” to the grid either without engaging a new preset, or see how the grid is configured when single clicking through presets, you then have to click that little three line thingy to get back to the grid rather than just be able to click a block on the grid directly. They could totally just have the lists window under the grid versus overlaying it.
- When you click a block, it would be nice under the graphic of the selected type if you could see the full list of other types you could choose, rather than have to click the model drop down or the graphic. Just put a list in that left column. imo
- Would be nice to have the ducking and diffusion parameters in the delay block. (And/Or some version of the advance params from the big box)
- The amp and drive blocks have little pictures of the gear, would be cool to have that extended to the modulations so I can be immersed with the site of the Electric Mistress or CE2.
- Again, this totally needs more drives, delays and verbs. This is not entirely a standard I would hold to all other plug manufacturers, but this just feels weird to be playing FAS and be staring at two delays. lol They should drop like at least 3 more of each imo. Especially when you’re without Pitch, Plex or Multi Delay. This is missing a bit of that FAS flex of effects.
- I’m realizing now how much I’ve grown accustomed to the SLO and Shiva for all my clean to cleanish tones.
- The Bassman kind of goes hard. It need to use this more in the big box.
- Cooper Carters presets are really nice on this.

I told them that we need more drives, delays and reverbs at yesterdays meeting so that will happen.

Hey Cliff, can you say (or maybe it's already been said and I missed it) if future Icon packs will be consolidated into the existing shell, i.e. if someone buys the current Fender one, and then they buy the Marshall one, will they all show up in the same plugin? Or will they be separate plugins? Thanks for the feedback. If you can post this here so the developers will see it that would be appreciated:

I don't know. We're investigating the downloadable content route.Hey Cliff, can you say (or maybe it's already been said and I missed it) if future Icon packs will be consolidated into the existing shell, i.e. if someone buys the current Fender one, and then they buy the Marshall one, will they all show up in the same plugin? That's cool, just curious.I don't know. We're investigating the downloadable content route.

Damn, you need to sort that out quickly. Surely you want to release the Modded Marshall (including Atomica) pack next week, don't you?I don't know. We're investigating the downloadable content route.
Yes, I'm sure they're now set up to shit out plugins weekly, with their new "T.I.F.F.A.N.Y." robot.Damn, you need to sort that out quickly. Surely you want to release the Modded Marshall (including Atomica) plugin next week, don't you?

Aggressive plans ™Yes, I'm sure they're now set up to shit out plugins weekly, with their new "T.I.F.F.A.N.Y." robot.![]()
Three desirable outcomes in FAS Plugin Adventures imo:
1. FAS Native. Obviously that’s not going to be a thing immediately. One day maybe.
2. Shell/Wrapper/Downloadable plugin. We buy the Icons we want, but they are all accessible in one wrapper.
3. No-shell, individual plugs. Then FAS should, imo, create a standard base of effects/cabs that will be in all Icons. So pick a semi thorough and diverse set of 10 drives, 10 reverbs, 6-7 delays etc that will be on ALL the plugs. The amps offered in the Icons will be the distinguishing factor, not fx/cabs etc Then they can sell a kitchen sink Delay, Reverb, Modulation plug for those that want the entire deep dive of fx types… but users don’t end up having to choose to buy the Marshall plug to get a Tape delay to use on the Fullerton plug, or get the Vox plug to get the Stratocumulus reverb to use on the Marshall plug etc. We just buy amp families, and we have a solid set of standard effects and cabs across them all. (And then if desired we can buy full fx suites.
There is a way to do this gracefully and user friendly. The issue will not be our desire to give them money, just do it in a way that works for what users want.
That's one way to do it and it has obvious advantages.
But...the successful model everyone in the biz is admiring is NDSP, and that's not how they do it.
