There is some serious actively defensive tribalism going around here lately .... What the hell is in our water?

Nah, it's all fun and games.
Not sure if you noticed but there's a healthy number of devoted FAS lovers on this board.
There's also an only slightly lesser number of Neural haters.
When and if a new Fractal unit comes out, and when and if I personally start ragging on it , you just watch
the Fractal gang beating I'm gonna get as a result.

So I figure I owe it to a company (that I've been a big fan of since the very first plug in I got) to be a bit defensive
on their behalf, on a board that's so heavily biased against them.

But ya, Thursday I gotta drive downtown to consult with a pulmonary specialist to find out why my white blood
cell counts never got back to normal levels after the transfusions last February.

Rather than dwell on that it's more fun to come hear and ruffle feathers with harmless keyboard jabs.

The FM3 had a pretty rough launch with that headphone jack debacle and the bug riddled early firmware versions. FAS was able to get things back on course pretty quickly though. The FM3 Mk II turbo is a substantial upgrade to what the OG FM3 offered.

The more I think about this - which isn't much - given its not going to replace or make redundant any existing Fractal product - and I don't think any kind of load-box variant is going to excite anyone - my money is on a Fractal version of the Helix HXFX .... all the Fractal EFX + the Dynacabs in one small unit with full Midi I/O spec.

Guess we'll know "soon".

It was called the FX8. Could be that they are reviving the concept with the new models they have come up with since then.

That said, I'm wondering if they have been secretly working on their own version of profiling, and that's what the announcement is going to be about.

Not gonna happen. Cliff has publicly stated, multiple times, he's not interested in profiling, and believes modelling to be a superior approach.
