£1980 U.K. pounds over here, no credit and no loyalty points. $2575 at the exchange rate on the day I paid (already paid them).
The only silver lining with me paying $650 more than you is this…. If I really, really think about the extra money I’ve paid and worry about it so badly that I have a heart attack? Well, at least the hospital care will be free :)
How long has Leon been demoing Helix? I thought he was basically all Fractal. (I haven’t watched any influencers in a while so I’m outmoded loop).well the good new is if these are really good to go by mid November , the Embargo holding back the Sweater review and others like Jon @ Sonic Drive and Leon , should be starting to trickle out maybe next week , I man sure many of the influencers probably already have them
he does them all , Fractal . Line6. NDSP. since they just had units at a show in Australia end of September I would be surprised if he does not get one , although I think he just got back from a long holidayHow long has Leon been demoing Helix? What do you mean?
Well, not to be a wet blanket but FAS is definitely still his main thing. So cool.
I loved this fractal tutorials and watched them a ton while learning my way around the FM9. Cool dude, band, and awesome playing. Can’t wait.

For example, there are probably 2-3 videos (I think) of him playing the QC. I wouldn't expect a similar output at all to FAS gear.
Not that it takes away from him being awesome![]()
I get that.I mean that I won’t support a company with a single buck, if they continue to do the practices they have been. I’ve got a laundry list of issues myself and my friends have dealt with. So I don’t care if I got a Stadium XL for $1600, I’d rather buy it elsewhere for more, from a company not staffed with colossal idiots.
I get that.
I’ve had several suboptimal interactions with Sweetwater to be fair. Maybe on me, but maybe not. I’m on my 3rd rep and they keep giving me guys that aren’t my speed. I’m a 40-something military family guy home player, and they keep giving me 20 year old drummers and audio engineers. Usually when I call in to ask for advice or their recommendations they tell me to watch YouTube videos and call back in.![]()
I edited my last comment to give a bit more detail.Yeah that sucks. My first guy I had since 2012, he retired, and 6 months prior to his retirement, a friend started there. So he’s been my rep ever since. He’s just a few years older than me.
My experience with GC has been better. The guys in my 3 local guitar centers in SoCal recognize me when I walk in, talk to me about this a that, etc. I don’t know; it’s just a different experience.
The people that work there are definitely not great; hit and miss for sure. Most of them don’t care one way or the other. But if you know what you want, and you confirm it’s “new in box”, it’s always good for me. I’ve definitely bought a few HX Stomps that were “new” that had the screen protectors off and scratches on the unit. Brought them back and asked for a new one and never had an issue. That’s a rarity with GC these days, IMO. I’ve been to several across the country (though not in Cali), and they’re all variations on the same theme; morons that have no idea what they’re selling. It’s not how it always was. In the 90’s, it was way better. There’s one in Chicago that’s still pretty good though.

All that to say, SW reps are the same in my experience as GC reps. They have never provided me a strong sense of give a shit that I hoped for.
I don’t think I’d buy a $5k PRS from GC tho….
