Life of a musician is really hard. Especially if you live in a country or city where professional musicians are not “needed” (looking for a better English word but can’t find it).

So even if they are 1000x the guitarist I will ever be, they might not be able to provide for their families with the capabilities and possibilities they have.

The event band stuff that JNC does pays pretty well in terms of hourly basis. He seems to have multiple gigs per week.

I’m only partially envious of those who rely on a guitar to make a living; I’ve never been motivated by money, much to my own detriment a lot of times. If I had to force myself to play guitar so I could pay the bills, it would be a short period of time before I grew to hate it. More so than I’m not motivated by money, I hate hustling and without scoring a dream gig, making money with music would be a hustle. That’s the shit that I’d grow to hate.

I don’t see YouTube’ing being any different than hustling, either. You’re hustling for clicks, comments, subscriptions, content ideas, fuuuuuuck that.

I'd say they devalue their brand and interest in their channel by making clickbait content.

It might still make them more money, but it might also lose them subscribers.
