I just want to try one… or two… in stereo… cranked. This has to be the single most absurd piece of gear released in 2024.
Don't worry, Laney. Still 4 months left for someone to top it.![]()
I’m saying I disagree that there’s a significant market for a non-powered version. You're saying you disagree that people who have already bought and paid for poweramps wouldn't prefer to use those poweramps?
I’m saying I disagree that there’s a significant market for a non-powered version.
Think so? I think there’s a definite lacking in good power amps, particularly good solid state power amps that aren’t massive PA-orientated power amps. Matrix was cool, but they’re all but defunct.Maybe so. But then again, stand alone poweramps have become fairly popular in the last few years.
It'd be kinda funny if they just made it so overpowered that putting it next to a 100watt tube halfstack just drowns it the fuck out, regardless of how it actually sounds.![]()
Apples/oranges. A regular guitar cab can’t blast IR’s and trumpets at 2600w.Yeah. I am scratching my head over this.Part of the deal with modellers and ""FRFR"" and IEMs
is the whole reduced stage volume thing that is part and parcel of these new trends. How does
this fit in with that?
I just don't see where it does. I can't see where the use case is for these at $2k. Has Laney or Devin
not been on CL or FB Marketplace noting all the 4 x 12 cabs that people cannot give away.![]()
