It’s a good fucking thing there’s no Nuke button on this forum because the amount of times I’ve wanted to press it in the last 3 weeks there’s no way it’d still be remaining. And it’s 100% because of THIS FUCKING SHIT, the not-fucking-gear-related political/social fucking bullshit we’ve made clear over and over isn’t welcome here.

Seriously? Two days ban for a flag in my avatar?
Let's clear this up cuz I want to understand the logic behind this decision.

1. Where's the rule that says "no country flags"? I don't see it.

2. Is a flag considered "political"? Then I inform you there are several flags around the forum, latest example in the 4th of July thread. I expect a ban for those memes now too if you want to be coherent.

3. Is this particular flag "controversial" right now? Maybe... but take a trip outside of your american bubble and you'll find out that most of the world considers the US flag, for example, as being much more controversial than the Palestinian one (and rightfully so, I'd say).

4. The whole point of me using that avatar was to give a reminder that, while we bitch and fight for silly stuff like "which profiler is the most accurate", there's people out there who have far bigger problems than ours, so anyone with at least two working neurons inside the cranium would think "I should take this stuff more lightly" when seeing my avatar, nothing else.

5. It seems point #4 has worked quite well in the past when people (me included) were using the Ukraine flag in their avatar, I'm pretty sure I saw a few with the Israel flag too after 7th October 2023, and none of those to my knowledge were banned nor caused flaming discussions on the forum. It seems some flags are just more acceptable than others in your corner of the world.

So, given all this, I'm not the one who made this become political, but you did it by arbitrarily and incoherently applying some non-existing rules or bending them to your own personal opinions and beliefs.
If this is how this forum works, please ban me permanently and delete all my posts, cuz I don't want to be part of this kind of shit.
At least now I clearly infringed a couple rules too: I made a political post and I argued with an arguable mod.

The only thing I support is the right for every fuckin' human being on this fuckin' planet to live his life in freedom, without being exterminated by bombs paid with our own taxes and justified by some random divinity's will.
That flag currently represents people that are being killed in hundreds by the hour and who have lived in a large prison their entire life.
In the time you spent producing this dumb meme, probably tens of them were being killed or severly injured.
If you consider them just "things", this meme and the "thought" expressed by it are much more offensive and should deserve a ban much more than a fuckin' flag, in a non-upside-down world.
But, luckily for you, I'm not an arguable mod and the world is still upside-down, so you're safe.

I think this is just a translation thing - some languages feature the use of a masculine pronoun in pluralized applications.

That said, the mods will probably consider your use of a more inclusive pronoun to be of a bannable nature. Nice knowing ya, pal.
