I just had a glass of milk for the first time in 4 years.

Absolutely nothing wrong with raw milk as long as it's processed properly. The mass production is where the problem happens. I live in dairy country and I don't know of anyone that has had a problem drinking raw milk. Around here, if you don't know a regular farm to get it, you can go to the Amish. On top of their milk, you can get plenty of other awesome shit like real beef, donuts and bread.

Morning coffee for me and the Mrs. is a cup of half dark roast and half whole milk.

We also enjoy a dollop of plain, full cream, yogurt on a rice and meat dish like biryani.

We mostly eschew ice cream to avoid the sugar, though enjoy a small cup on occasion.

Growing up, for me milk and cereal were a staple breakfast food on a near daily basis.

I can’t remember the last time I drank actual milk. :barfIt was decades ago, I know that.

Have no probs with almond/oat/coconut milk though.

I was going to mention the Amish, too. We have an Amish Creamery south of us. That shit's good. :chef

No, because we already saw animals doing the exact same thing, as well as our own species with breastfeeding. There are a lot of weird foods but milk is the most natural for a mammal to understand.

Or we can be Masai and bloodlet our Cows and drink that. :guiness

:rofl

It is interesting how different cultures have related to Cows differently----or not at all.

Genetically, if our ancestors didn't drink Cow's Milk it will probably mean we don't have
the ability to break down lactose. Of if our ancestors didn't eat Beans, then, yup, you
guessed it....

So much of how we are able to enjoy/tolerate foods has nothing to do with us, and
everything to do with our genetics/DNA.

I wish I could follow a vegan lifestyle. I am concerned about not hurting animals, as much as possible. I don't buy anything made from leather.

You are really a very generous person to follow this lifestyle. Bows before you.
