This is the dumbest thread on TGF, but it's funnier than the Official Original LOL I Found a Meme and Peed My Pants Funny Picture thread has been in some time.
Is that Ozzy or Caitlyn Jenner?
Idk.Is that Ozzy or Caitlyn Jenner?
yes.Is that Ozzy or Caitlyn Jenner?
Looks like Ozzy and Caitlyn Jenner had a kid and it grew up to be Joe Walsh. Is that Ozzy or Caitlyn Jenner?
That does look kind of like Walsh.Looks like Ozzy and Caitlyn Jenner had a kid and it grew up to be Joe Walsh.
Your “retorts” are more like this.

Dunno about anyone else, but I've got like 4 posts over a two month period in The Other Place thread,
Maybe because I'm tired of wading through absolute constant nonsensical drek, posted as the *gospel* by rank amateurs, without any humility or respect for the community at large.
TGF reminds me of TGP back when the signal-to-noise ratio was "workable" (other than the P&W PRS noodlers), I certainly hope & pray TGF never turns into the 24/7 circle jerk that *other* formerly great sites like Harmony Central et al. once were, before the Social Media Disease became a terminal phenom & poisoned the well.
There are a lot of *great* players here, plus a lot of *core* technological competency ~ Tolerating turds in the punch bowl is a zero sum attitude.

Yeah, seems to be the general trend on T.O.P., especially post-COVID when otherwise involved bedroom players/producers got infected with G*A*S*![]()
But, I first noticed the online gear "experts" emerging 25+ years ago on Harmony Central ~ In fact, there's one right now voluminously posting in the Kemper thread.
He's one of the old school "experts" & actually posts short clips of "tests" he wants to share (always some simple classic rock type rhythm -0- drums or bass), so he actually contributes "something" with his quest to know all things "digitally" toan related.
Based upon accidentally reading some of his musings, he must also spend a *lot* of time reading, researching & cataloging info...
In the PC world it's called techno lust, based upon his opinings he's got it in spades ~ I'd bet good money he's also voluminously posting over @ T.O.P. simultaneously, as was his MO with HC before it lost all the![]()
But these "experts" that spam threads RE: gear they've never touched, many never IRL even playing @ volume with a band, some never even played at all, that's a new, new trend![]()
VS-TGP doesn't care if you play guitar, he doesn't/can't, they just want contributors that create "content" to drive website "metrics", doesn't even have to be guitar/music related!
You should request VSadmin remove your ban & reinstate you, heck they might even make you a mod so you enforce the new, new rulez...

Having stayed away from T.O.P. now for over a month (after it being a daily part of my life for 20+ years), one of the major benefits is *not* having to experience the *political* garbage that's taken over that place the last 5+ years.
The moronic political dolts over there have have proven to me the movie Idiocracy was actually a documentary...

Seems you've been around a lot longer than your last TGP handle would indicate (2021), what was/were you user names back in the old days?
I don't know if that was directed at me, but I posted *tons* of clips on TGP regarding gear I was discussing, haven't posted anything here, yet, but there's a link to some of my older work in my profile.
Once I became disgusted with direction of TGP, I deleted most of my "contributions" like a lot of old timers did, before ED-TGP limited removing posts to six months![]()
I'm currently rebuilding my studio after a move, will start posting clips once it's fully operational, but I have always kept my opinions to myself unless I have *real* life experience related to the discussion...
Moreover, I have *never* criticized anyone's clips/songs that they've "contributed" (even when they were unlistenable), but I have -0- tolerance and/or respect for chatty kathys that post *opinions* & other bull$hit (shills/fanboies suck the most), when they lack IRL credentials.
But hey, you do you![]()
I spend less & less time online, but when I do it would be great if their was at least muso forum that learned from *some* of the errors we have lived through over the last 30 years.
I have high hopes for this "community", have learned, experienced & enjoyed much already (only had to "ignore" a few to separate the wheat-from-the-chaff), looking forward to growing with TGF as I reactivate my studio & begin experiments with chasing sonic nirvana.

Well, if someone is "positing" something regarding a piece of gear or some other music/guitar playing topic, it would be great if they weren't bull$hitting on the thread, to appease some personal affliction, so that those of us actually was trying to learn, appreciate and/or contribute to the discussion wouldn't have to smell their stank.
Never said posting clips to support verbage was a "requirement" ~ I was implying that some people are *clearly* talking out of their arses & should stop spamming serious threads with their social media disease.
I think everyone knows what I meant, except those so deluded that they believe their own lies & believe their farts don't stink...

Textbook sophistry.
It's all part of the No Shame, Anything Goes contingent, that has grown like a cancer everywhere online, not just on muso forums.
I'm presently revisiting the role of forums in my life ( I don't do social meda), to divine what appropriate changes need to be made, which only happened a couple of times from 2010-2020, but over the last couple of years seems to have become an almost monthly task...

IRL Ability.
The "4 posts" were specifically regarding my post count about A-Bone.Bro....
We got WILDLY different perspectives on the number 4. This was just over 2-3 days and I skipped some.
I don't even know the gofundme reference (A-Bone) outside of you and 2 or 3 other dudes posting multiple times about here every day.
Dunno about anyone else, but I've got like 4 posts over a two month period in The Other Place thread (about A-Bone), mostly because he's indicative (A-Bone) of everything wrong with TGP...
