Also this is probably the best representation of what one is going to get maybe a bit lighter but not Fiesta Red bright with the Satin finish.

Not as Dark as the stock photos but not bad. This is a run of those Ferrari Red Player Series strats Fender released not so long ago And yeah they were pretty dope and the color had a lot to do with it. It's not bad but yeah the Pharaohs Gold is sort of like Shoreline Gold guitar with a dark board I've always wanted on a 60s vintage spec but here in a Super Strat .. .

Satin Ferrari Red is 80s but still modern looking with the all black hardware.... and yes 80s is getting old but still cool ^_^

And yeah sometimes I take for granted my area and guitars here to hold for reference.....

But sometimes I really do appreciate it and Charvel comes to mind when I do....

Not A lot of folks have the privilege to go down to GC Hollywood or some other nice shops but damn been to some nice ones and yeah it's GC....but it's hard to get better than GC Hollywood.

Checking out the Charvel Selects and Custom Shops there along with Gibson, Fender CS and the Suhr selection and others..... have to say....

MiM Charvels still put a grin on your face relative to even the best offerings the world has to offer and they are just an amazing value.

May last one was Made In Korea and I didn't even know that was a thing. :idk

I have purchased 2 duds I had to send back. One was a Jake E Lee Sig and
the other was the So Cal take on the Telecaster. I hated the Fishmans in it.

The Dimarzios in the MIK one I just received are lighting my hair on fire at
the moment. Shreddy nheck, but not as shreddy as an Ibanez Wizard, which
is a good thing for me. I prefer more of a vintage 50s era necks. Super thin
and super flat radius is challenging for me. The Charvels are a nice balance.

I'd love to have a Made in Japan Charvel someday. :chef

I was just going to post “Man, that gold one would look great with a jet black ebony board!”

That sounds pretty appealing to me!
I mean most I have seen are pretty dark tbh but yeah some light ones here and there but on average most come pretty dark like this.

In either case yeah the gold one is looking more and more good every time I look at it.

Mine has nasty fret sprout. I don't mind too much though because the rest of the guitar is kick-ass. Plays so well, and does the 80s metal thing in spades.

I bought a file kit, just gonna fix it myself.

Based off these pics too going for a Pharaohs Gold most likely, just feel while the Red is nice it's a bit too flat for my liking sort of like no ass or a flat ass compared to the Gold........

The Gold looks nicer and has better contrast by comparison for me and my liking out of the two.

I have a pickguard right now, but I prefer not to have one in the future, because I end up rewiring my guitars so damn much. Even with a Floyd, the pickguard is just such a pain in the ass to deal with, to have to remove the strings each time. At least the Floyd eases the pain: first I remove the trem springs, next the trem, keeping it locked at the nut, then I remove the pickguard. When I put it all back together, as long as the springs were put on in the same spots as before, it's almost perfectly in tune again. Still, if I just had a rear route it would be so much faster and easier!

Anyway, I love the red!

Yeah, that’s bad-ass. The pickguard helps break up the overwhelming finish of the non-pickguard model.
The thing is with San Dimas a pickguard wouldn't make sense as it's not overly routed like SoCal Models or a standard Fender with a pickguard. But do agree here in general.
