So pretty much the new Plus versions of the San Dimas come with contoured heels and back horn sculpts along with caramalized necks and 1500 Floyds and matching headstock.

SoCal Plus same sculpted and caramalized treatement with Evertune.

Hardtail Plus San Dimas much the same as a Floyd version just and HT version.

Maybe the nicest new one aside from the new San Dimas colors for both standard Ebony (Satin Ferrari Red/Pharoah Gold) and Maple colors (Pelham Green/Gloss Black) is the new San Dimas Pro Mod Super Stock.

The new San Dimas Pro Mod Super Stock has cream covered Dimarzios in HSH, reliced Alder nitro body vs an Ash body, Floyd Rose 1000, caramalized Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard...... The Best part is it comes in Aged Arctic...... And one can easily change that pickguard for a mint green, white/cream or Black one too.

One that probably passed under everyones radar this year.... Charvel 1984 San Dimas Custom Shops..... come with either EMGs or Dimazios and Fat 50s ^_^

Pharoah Gold is like that nice girl from church who is the preachers daughter......

Satin Ferrari Red is like that girl who likes to take a tequila shot and have a good time......

Which one Say You TGF?

Both look great but kind of leaning towards the red and getting white stickers to put over the covers....

White knurled knobs and a black racing strip againt the arm rest...... maybe just a black racing stripe.....

But on its own eveb it really looks striking and definitely not as subtle like something that makes you want to pick it up. Both look good but yeah that red is hot babe!!!!

However there is an appeal to the more subtle color of Pharoah Gold....... hard choice between the two but either should be solid.

I think they make one in Pharoah Gold with a Blackguard. HH and Ebony board, I believe.

It's HSS and a SoCal and yes that one looks dope but here feel white covers and chrome hardware would have been a better offset.

The black is nice on the Pharoah Gold but it doesn't fit as well relative to the Satin Ferrari Red.

Showed my brother both too and he liked Satin Ferrari Red not really being into guitars.

Kind of want to get the Red one and either put Red Stickers or White Stickers over the covers that are precut to go over the pups and/or add a black racing stripe at the arm rest.

Both look great anyone would agree but for me the Red one is looking like something that would make me want to pick it up in the same room next to the gold one all things considered here. Not even into Red and I kind of don't like it on a strat aside from CAR on a 60s type or Dakota on a 50s type guitar.

Dont even have a Red guitar or really ever have wanted one as I'm always kind of picky of the type of Red and don't like it in general but this Red doesn't look half bad. Maybe I'd just be happy as is or with a black racing stripe on the arm rest to be honest but yeah would be fun to add some colored stickers on the pickups like black and white and maybe white or red knurled tone knobs but stock I'm kind of leaning towards it a bit more coming in actually liking the Pharoah Gold a bit more.

Actually they do make a HH SoCal version too....

Also I think I'm expecting a darker red from the stock photos but other photos I see depict Satin Ferrari Red as a more brighter red or Dakota type red or Fire Engine Red on the brighter side......

May have to check some out in store but if it's anything like this and and it's not bad may go for the Gold. Again not bad but was expecting darker red..... maybe it's the cream covers that make it seem like a brighter red......

From this perspective though it looks nicer regarding Satin Ferrari Red if it's as bright with a black hardware combo...... honestly tough choice between the two.....

Also for anyone interested and that may have rewards points or a gift certificate on top of an already great deal...

SW has this open box for a stupid low price of 650$ mainly due to two neck pocket cracks that are superficial and is bound to happen to any strat and most anyways.... not a bad deal especially for a sick color. Normal prices for these are between 900$-1000$ and they have another open box for 700 bucks and some change to.....

The thing is I'm down for Satin Ferrari Red if it's as Dark as the stock photos make it to be but Satin Ferrari Red seems to be a bit brighter like a Fire Engine Red in between Dakota Red bright.

The Shoreline Gold seems to be more on point regarding representation of the actual color of the guitar.

Also looking as at the Charvel site the Satin Ferrari Red seems to have a brighter designation than the regular Gloss Ferrari Red that comes in the SoCal leading me to believe the Red on the Satin Ferrari Red versions are brighter than the stock photos and more like the bass versions. So a bit more pastel like than a harder darker red it seems with the Satin version.

If only they didn't have such slim necks, I'd be all about it. A vintage look with modern appointments is :chef

I understand the neck for some and it was kind of the same for me that just took slight adjusting but not a lot and once I did I never looked back.

Also overall versus my other strats and guitars stupid Jazz Chords or harder technical stuff is easier to play on these thanks to the neck profile. Les Paul 59 necks are very similar to be honest in taper and feel but in a modern way and still very strat like. The compound radius helps a lot too and the locking nut and hardware and graphite rods really do keep everything stable tuning wise and in regards to tuning stability.

Also at Wild Wood or Will Cut guitars or Wild West some of these guys and others will list the thickness of necks from 1st fret to 12th and you can look for a fatter neck if wanted. For me the profile in general works within a margin.

Maybe the Satin Ferrari Red isn't as bright as I think it may be it actually seems darker than Dakota Red/Fiesta Red..... but damn that Pharoas Gold....... it's practically a really nice "Shoreline Gold".....

Also regarding the SW Open box for anyone interested You pretty much get 350$ off for these finish cracks that were probably going to happen anyway and happens with Even MIA guitars.....

Pretty superficial and a stupid deal for stupid little blemishes at 650$. Best deal Ive seen on a San Dimas or a Charvel in a while.
