Why would one consider a katana if you can plug a ME 90 into the return of a 300– [insert any non populair amp that does have good powersection and speaker]?

Eh ultimately I can spend whatever I want, I just don't find value in dropping 4k on an amp that I am going to use in seedy bars 90% of the time.

Yeah it makes sense to get something that is not that expensive and easily replaceable if that's your situation.

Doesn't make me any more interested in owning a Hot Rod Deluxe or something tho!

I have. I've also owned a Bad cat Hot Cat 30 and a bunch of boutique pedals when it was first all the rage. I've spent 3500 on a Les Paul that went back to the factory 4 times for workmanship issues. I discovered my tastes/needs just aren't that expensive.

Not good! This thread has fooled me twice now, first when it was initially posted and now again. You know you have bad gas when a possible Katana update has you fearing you are missing out!!
