Oh shit, just caught they have stomp box presets for the 1? Hopefully that means firmware for the 100. Really the only feature I sorely miss there from the 1K.

I'd absolutely pony up for the GX100 if I was looking at any of these. I did see a thread on one of the GXs at TOP and someone was saying the 100 was heavy/too big and I really just had to close the tab at that point. Jesus christ.

It’s a great pedal, imo. Size is perfect.

This looks great to me. Nice and compact. Boss quality. Battery power option (AA or USB-C). Pretty easy interface. Killer headphone setup if you ask me, and a great small rig for low needs performances. I’ve gotten some good sounds out of even the basic ME-90, and this seems better from the Thomann video. Some good sounds in there!

I also really like the default that the volume pedal all the way back triggers the tuner. Super useful feature. Not sure if anything else does that. Hopefully something easy to add in firmware updates maybe?

Yeah, i have no doubt these will sell like hotcakes in the sub-$250 market.

The GX-100 has an optional global parameter for heel down = tuner. Great feature.

At this point, it's the price of two BOSS pedals, sometimes one. I'm totally buying my son the bass version. He'll love this.

Great point!

The bass version would be more than enough for most gigging bass players too.

Pretty sure I'd rather get a NUX MG-30 if I wanted that form factor. In fact, I'd rather wait for Valetons new offerings.

I think it's great.....and I called it last year. (Still waiting on my other "prediction" to come true....ahem....)

Hasty impressions are that they did what I hoped; kept the overall UX and the ability to run on AA batteries....and improved it with X amps and a metal housing. All at a who-cares price point!

I have absolutely no idea how this is getting so much praise - especially in a forum where people are getting full stop anal about accurate amp modeling all the time. I mean, sure, one might get away with this, but especially in terms of amp modeling, there's *much* better choices. In that price bracket as well.

Is it the “accuracy is everything” people in this thread, though? It’s $220, it’s most likely indestructible without serious effort, the effects are rather pedestrian but I’d put money on them sounding better than that $100 more expensive NUX thing you posted up there, and even though YOU don’t like the amp sounds, they really aren’t bad with some even being unique. It’s not like you’re being forced to buy it.

Looks like great no nonsense starting point in the modelling world, decent price, and the sounds in the demo were all really decent to my ears.
I'd for sure consider this if I was considering something in this price range.

At Thomann, the NUX MG-30 is €249 whereas the GX-1 is €259.

Sure. I was just wondering because the majority round these parts is typically all up in arms in case whatever amps aren't represented properly. And in Boss units not one single amp is represented even remotely properly.
As you know, I'm not interested in authentic tones myself, but I'm kinda interested in "classic-ish" tones - and that's just nothing Boss units can do. Don't get me wrong, Boss' own creations are fine if you can deal with them - but they're defenitely not what people usually want from a modeler.

It's got X-Crunch. I know I can get great sounds out of that. Realy great option for something small, in expensive, and reliable.
